George Carlin is dead

Such a strong sentence. He didn’t “beat around the bush” so why should I ?

It’s not meant as a joke, unless Carlin is pulling a Tu-Pac on us.

Maybe he will go live with Elvis… some say he is not dead either.

He is famous for mentioning the “7 unmentionable words on TV” on TV. A stand-up comedian, he has been performing for over 30 years. Jason and I recently saw him when he came to Orlando. Dressed in his token black outfit, he looked just like he did on all the Tv specials Jason showed me. And while the jokes were different, the humor was the same, the delivery was the same. He was 71. Here is his standup with 7 words, if you don’t know the words, consider this your warning.

I actually learned these words not from Carlin himself, and not in the alleyway or from kids with older siblings (although that could have been part of it) but I actually had a teacher go through this with us in one of my tv media classes in college. Pretty funny stuff, when you aren’t expecting your teacher, glasses cockeyed, chalk in hand, hair askew, cheap suit to spout out these 7 words. Now-days, when they are teaching you what you CAN say on tv, they have to first teach you what NOT to say.

I’m sure its too much of a cliche for him, but I’ll say it anyways, Rest in Peace, George.
