Updates from Thailand

JonHello from Pattaya Thailand,

Well the first day of practice is done and everyone is working on their cars for tomorrow. There has been many surprises from the host track here in Pattaya. The two biggest being there is very little oil on the track and the carpet on the jumps. With the lack of oil on the track, tire wear is a bigger issue than the last time drivers hit this track with the oily surface. Many drivers are searching for tires that will last more then ten minutes. JConcepts driver
Ryan Maifield has come to learn and prepare for the worlds and has settled on a comfortable JC combination. The other problem a lot of drivers are having in the early practice days is the carpet that has been placed on many of the jumps. It is starting to come up and rip apart, getting tangled in the driveline on many cars. With all of this said, the track is still amazing to see, and the promoters are hard at work to make this one of the best World Championships yet.

The ride to the track from the hotel, is one of the funnest and scariest rides you will ever take. Sitting in the van with motorbikes and scooters just inches from us with a full family of 4 or 5 people on them is very common. Driving head on to an approaching dump truck before you turn back into your lane running a motorbike off the road is normal. We are having a great time and it’s been a pleasure showing many drivers and key figures the JConcepts products.

Stay tuned to the JConcepts blog. I will be posting more pictures and videos of the track and the action around it in the days to come.

Till next-time,

Jon
