JConcepts 2012 Dirt Nitro Challenge Pre-releases

The 2012 Dirt Nitro Challenge was the perfect setting to show off some new JConcepts products. Please see the below information and small selection of videos produced during the event displaying an array of new products that will be available soon.

The soon to be released 3Ds Short Course Tire. As racing on both indoor and outdoor conditions has evolved, a more flexible, supremely grippy tire design was necessary to drive the edgy, fast pace in mixed conditions. The 3Ds slide in as a new, highly sought after favorite in these conditions. 3Ds excel on indoor and outdoor hard packed surfaces with either dry or wet conditions. Drivers will feel the immediate impact of the exclusive design and proprietary rubber compound as they rip around the track at blistering speeds.

A Finnisher body for both the Team Associated RC8.2 and Kyosho MP9 made a debut incorporating all the popular features from the 1/10th off-road counterparts raced during the IFMAR world championships in Finland. The Finnisher 1/8th bodies have a unique shape and design which allow more escape paths for air flow along with including one of the more aggressive cabs in its class. The rear of the body has the Finnisher V-stepped treatment near the rear of the body giving another location for increased force and air flow escape. The side-pods have all been tightened up along the chassis guards eliminating any possible large voids which contribute to mid-air directional changes.

The Black Jackets are inspired from the most successful JConcepts 1/8th buggy tire, the Hybrids. Using the Hybrid center lug DNA incorporates increased over-lapping, to help maintain a steady center structure for increased forward traction and wear characteristics. All the pins on the Black Jackets are scaled down on the outside and opened up slightly for the ultimate slick or sandy track performance.

SC10 Monroe Carbon Fiber Battery Brace. This new item from JConcepts will allow you to securely hold your battery in your SC10 with room for adjustments, all in style. Another new Carbon Fiber part making its debut at the Nitro Challenge is the SC10 Rear Body Mount Brace. This brace will help stiffen up the rear posts on your SC10 and prevent the body from twisting while on the track, helping to keep the body off the tires.

Working on your vehicles is just as important as how you drive them. The new Striker setup board w/ foam pad will certainly make you the Pit Boss. JConcepts’ primary focus is always on performance and adjustments such as ride height, camber and toe are some of the most critical adjustments. Having a portable, convenient and flat working surface allows a driver to make necessary pit adjustments with speed, consistency and accuracy. The setup board has JConcepts written all over it with a brilliant Striker logo on top for the most decorated finish. The bottom can be outfitted with the included foam pad which adds depth, work space and a flexible footing for irregular surfaces. Cleaning, maintaining and setting up any vehicle is important to performance, choose the Striker Setup Board from JConcepts.
