The Badlands in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina hosted the East Coast Off-Road Series Finals on October 19, 2013. Early morning practice ended around 10am with rain. With a few hours of track repair, the Badlands crew had the track race ready and the first qualifier started around 2:30pm
John Michael qualified 2nd in the Pro Buggy A Main. He took the lead on the first lap and led most of the race. Towards the end a mistake dropped him back to 2nd place with 4 minutes to go. A couple laps later he went back into the lead and won the 25 minute A Main with JConcepts Driver Jason Smith finishing 3rd. John Michael ran Black Hybrids during the main and Green Hybrids during the qualifiers.
In Pro Truggy John Michael qualified 2nd as well. He took the lead on the first lap and never lost it. He won by 2 laps on the entire field. He ran Green Hybrids during the main and Green Hybrids the first round and Black Hybrids the second round.
