the 2016 Silver State took place at RC Tracks of Las Vegas, the site of the 2016 IFMAR World championships. The race was packed with entries looking for a taste of what the World Championships will have in store later in the year. A great layout that was smooth, seal-coated clay greeted drivers for this years event. JConcepts was well represented and the conditions proved tricky for everyone.
Spencer Rivkin dominated qualifying in the 1/8th Pro buggy class with JConcepts and Team Associated. The Arizona ace driver TQ’d rounds 1 and 3 on a way to the impressive qualifying effort. JConcepts driver Cole Ogden would bump into the 1/8th Pro Buggy A-main with his new JConcepts equipped Mugen buggy.
In the 45 minute A Main, Ryan Maifield came out swinging with his JConcepts equipped 8IGHT 4.0 taking the win, Spencer would end up in 2nd place. The JConcepts Detox tires and Silencer bodies proved tough to beat in the hot Vegas weather.
Everyone was impressed with the RC Tracks facility and look forward to returning in early October for the IFMAR World Championships.
