JConcepts drivers Mitch, Bernard, and Kvidera win at round one of the 2016 FORCE Series
Friday around lunchtime, Walter and I made the trip over to Deans Discount Hobbies (DDH) for practice day for the first round of the FORCE series. DDH is located in New Port Richey, Florida about 40 minutes northwest of Tampa. Practice went well for all the JConcepts drivers, where they found that go-to combination of driving and JConcepts product to hopefully give them the edge for Saturday’s race.
Saturday, it was up early and off to the track. With a quick stop for breakfast, we arrived for a long day of racing. Most of the team found that JConcepts Reflex tires in green compound was the go-to tire for round one as the track still wasn’t totally cleared up from over night watering. As we headed into round two, we saw a totally different situation as now the track was grooved up and taking some rubber, but with some dust mixed in. All JConcepts drivers switched over to blue compound Reflex’s and that was key as many of our JConcepts drivers gripped TQ’s. The mains were up next and once again gave us a different track condition as the sun set and racing was finished under the lights. This increased the dust factor ten fold and we saw the track deteriorated almost race by race. JConcepts drivers took different JConcepts products to the winner circle from green Hybrids to green Detox tires, scoring wins in over 40 Nitro Buggy with Jimbo Kvindera, John Bernard in eTruggy, and JR Mitch in Pro Truggy and eBuggy.
Great job from the DDH track crew and Lance Macdonald on a successful round one with a total entry count of 188. Till the next round!
