Dragon Stone Asian Championships

Savoya Dominates eBuggy at the first annual Dragon Stone Asian Championships with JConcepts

Organized by the famous Scotty Ernst in cooperation with the local government and a very motivated team, the Dragon Stone Asian Championships were held for the first time in Liaoyang, China. More than 15 countries were represented, with drivers from China, Australia, Canada, Mongolia and more! The weather wasn’t the best we could see but Scotty and his crew made everything in order to make everyone race in the best available conditions. On the 4 days of racing that were on schedule, we could race 2 qualifiers and the mains, on a very challenging layout.

In electric, I would TQ and win using Triple Dees in green compound which was the perfect choice for the wet and drying conditions! In nitro, I was struggling with traffic with 13 cars on a 29 second lap time so I couldn’t expect better than starting 3rd on the grid! After some battle for the lead and a broken plug, I would eventually take home 3rd. It was of course bellow my expectations, but without issues I would for sure end up in a better position! I used Triple Dees in green compound in the qualifier and blue compound Detox tires for the 45 main event, with amazing grip and traction! My cars were hooked up, even on the slippery off camber sections! Also a nice result for teammate for Felix Law finishing 2nd in the eBuggy class!
