by Rich on March 24, 2015

JCO2441_altWith the recent release of the new Associated T5M, JConcepts is ready with even more accessories for this new 1/10th scale racing truck.

JConcepts – T5M precut chassis protective sheet – black
Part# 2436

A high-end item used for many years on the performance side of R/C racing is the chassis protective sheet. For years, drivers have hand-cut and fitted their chassis with a clear material protecting the new chassis look and also providing a smooth or slick surface to decrease friction between chassis and dirt surfaces. JConcepts has hit the easy and glamour button at the same time and is now offering a precut and graphically pleasing chassis protective sheet for the most popular 1/10th off-road vehicles on the market. With 2 pieces included per package, the durable and low-resistance material fits each chassis layout like a glove and adds protection and style in one easy package.

Super Cup Championship Series – Round 2

by Lance MacDonald on March 20, 2015

Untitled-1Round 2 of JConcepts Super Cup Championship Series was scheduled to be run in the beautiful Florida sunshine outdoors at Coral Springs. The unpredictable Florida weather was calling for some rain on our parade, so a last minute decision was made on a venue change for a roof and 4 walls. Newly opened Beachline Raceway stepped in to help with the event. 182 entries would fill the 21 heats of racing with Florida’s premier 10th scale racers.

JConcepts team driver Alan Wight would race to the first win of the evening in Expert Stock Buggy after setting TQ in qualifying. Alan’s Team Associated B5M on JConcepts Dirt Web tires were flawless leading every lap of the 5 min Amain. Don Haywood stayed with Alan for 2nd looking for a way past and a faster line to the top but would finish 2nd overall. Daniel Castaneda would finish 3rd as Ryan Rios just beat Ruffy Rios back to the line for 4th.

2015 Cactus Classic – Day 1 Qualifying

by Rich on March 14, 2015

DSC_0012Long day here in Phoenix with 86 heats of qualifying in the books. Race 43 of Round 2 finished up just after 10pm local time. The damp playdough like surface has everyone running slicks so tire choice wasn’t an issue for most. Finding the right set-up, best shock oil and spring choice seemed to be what most were chasing.

Overall feel for the day was relaxed and as always Scotty Ernst kept everything running smoothly.
