Nitro Challenge Warm-up

Ryan Maifield takes a TQ and win in the 1/8th Pro Buggy class at the Dirt Nitro Challenge Warm-up. Maifield used the JConcepts equipped TLR 8ight 3.0 to TQ by a large margin during the 7 minute qualifier and went on to win the A-main with a consistent and quick drive. Team Associated / JConcepts driver Spencer Rivkin finished in the 2nd position showing that the young AZ driver can wheel a 1/8th as well.

Look out for both of these drivers at one of the most anticipated 1/8 Offroad buggy events of the year, the 16th annual Dirt Nitro Challenge hosted by the Fear Farm in Phoenix will take place February 18 – 22, 2015.

7th Annual Field of Dreams Race

Team Associated / JConcepts ace driver Steven Hartson made a recent trip to Garden City, KS to compete at the annual Field of Dreams race hosted by Need 4 Speed and Eric Larsen. The current 4wd World Champion was hot all weekend in the 4wd modified class taking the overall TQ and victory with the JConcepts equipped Team Associated B44.3.

TLR / JConcepts driver Taylor Larsen was equally impressive by first taking the TQ and then the overall championship by winning the 2wd modified class over Hartson in 2nd place. The friendly duo both used the championship winning Dirt Webs in gold compound to tame the Need 4 Speed track.

Cole Ogden Signs With JConcepts

Cole Ogden, agrees to multi-year deal with JConcepts.

Ultra quick, Cole Ogden agrees to new multi-year deal with JConcepts for 2015. One of the best 1/8th drivers on the east coast of the United States, Cole established a winning reputation during the 2014 season where he made a habit of winning. The young driver from McDonough, Georgia, realized a dream trip to the 1/8th IFMAR Worlds when he represented ROAR during the prestigious event earning a place in the quarterfinals against the world’s elite.

Cole’s unique speed has allowed him to dominate at events while great mechanical ability and a steady pit crew allows him to finish strong in the longest of main events. Cole will now team up with the Florida based crew to further sharpen his racing abilities while he looks to work alongside of teammate Ryan Maifield at all major 1/8th events in 2015.

JCP’s 4th Annual New Years Cash Races

Tyler_NateJConcepts Team Driver’s Tyler Jones and Nate Jaskot attended the 4th annual JCP RC Raceway New Years Cash Race. A little over 100 entries attended the Electric Off-road event on Saturday January 3rd. Tyler decided to only run 1/8 eBuggy with his 1/10 cars all rebuilt and ready for the CRCRC Midwest Electric Championships the following week. There ended up being three heats of 1/8 eBuggy for the night with some fast competition.

In qualifying Tyler had the speed but small mistakes would cost him the TQ position and qualify second for the main, Nate finished qualifying with the overall TQ. Nate and Tyler were the only two to qualify with 15 laps out of the field of cars on the very green track layout.

SpencerAce driver Spencer Rivkin agrees to multi-year deal with JConcepts.

Spencer Rivkin, the young driver from Surprise, AZ, came into his own during the 2014 season by showing a tremendous work ethic. Spencer, with the support of family, friends and sponsors won the 4wd open class at the Reedy Race of Champions and continued his success throughout the year at events on the JConcepts Indoor National Series, Cactus Classic, Surf City Classic, ROAR Off-Road Nationals and the AZ State Championships in Phoenix, AZ.

Batavia RC Raceway’s 2014 Cash Race

Curtis MayCurtis May takes the cash and the win at the 2014 Batavia RC Raceway’s Cash Race with JConcepts.

Batavia RC Raceway located in Batavia, OH held their Cash Race on December 27th. JConcepts Team member Curtis May was in attendance running the popular eBuggy Class. With limited controlled practice, Curtis quickly dialed in his TLR 8ight 3.0e equipped with JConcepts Dirt Webs.

With a decent run in qualifying, Curtis would start the Main in the number two spot. Switching to Black Compound during the 3rd qualifier, Curtis stuck with that tire choice and dominated the A Main. Starting in the 2nd spot, the horn sounded and Curtis took the lead in turn 2 and never looked back.

Top Notch Series – Round 2

Matt had a great ending to the year with a TQ and Win in 1/8 eBuggy at TNS round #2 hosted by Coyote Hobbies in Victorville, California. Matt’s MIP Pro8 was equipped with JConcepts Bar Codes in Gold compound and was hooked up all weekend long. Choosing the correct tire tread and compound was detrimental to getting the car hooked at Coyote Hobbies. With a little bit of break in, the tires were second to none. Matt pulled the fastest laps in 1/8 eBuggy all weekend and lead from tone to tone in the main.

TNS Round 3 will be held on January 17, 2015 and hosted by SCVRC Raceway in Canyon Country, CA.

2014 Toys For Tots Race

301 Raceway and Hobby hosted its inaugural Toys for Tots event on Saturday December 20th. The show of support was amazing with 105 entries as many racers throughout Florida showed up baring gifts in one hand and their racing gear in the other. The day was filled with great racing, raffle prizes, and a 50/50 fun race. Many of the top drivers came out to show their support and put on a great show.
