2368The Centro CT4.2 conversion kit has been an instant hit with racers wanting to convert the race winning T4.2 into a mid-motor truck. The 4mm Carbon Fiber shock tower has all the necessary adjustments including the standard outer (CT4.2) camber link positions and the newly added inboard camber link holes to accommodate a narrow pivot rear suspension. The shock tower has the JConcepts touch, including a strong design and genuine carbon fiber material. The strength is added where appropriate and to allow big bore shock and transmission clearance where necessary. Tower requires the use of the JConcepts #2320 rear bulkhead.

JCO2240T
One of the best upgrades you can make to the TLR 22 line of vehicles is to convert the front axle to a more user friendly Titanium design. A critical point of the conversion revolves around the front axle and surrounding geometry, the crew at JConcepts has provided a great alternative. JConcepts has conveniently built the front axle and hex into a single piece allowing the use of a traditional 4mm lock-nut instead of the stock screw type design. A low-profile, aluminum 4mm locknut has been included which features an inner serrated surface which grips the wheel when tightened for locking security. Titanium material lowers the weight and increases the bling factor by 10-fold. This design can easily be installed on the 22 buggy line of vehicles including the newly released TLR 22 2.0.

10423965_824490737571925_8315408524885832602_nDaniel Brown takes the Top Gun honors in Mod Truck with JConcepts.

This past weekend Norcal Hobbies in San Jose California wrapped up the 5th Annual Top Gun Race. This race attracts top drivers from Northern California, all attempting to earn the title of “Top Gun” of their respective class. Along with bragging rights, top drivers in each class earns themselves an authentic Fighter Jet Helmet.

The program consisted of 4 rounds of qualifying and triple A-mains on Sunday. JConcepts Team Driver Daniel Brown was unable to attend the first day of qualifying and arrived early on Sunday to get the layout figured out and make sure his cars were dialed in. After an hour of practice Daniel’s cars were feeling good and he had the layout decently figured out. The track was built by Kevin Jelich and it certainly lived up to his reputation; perfectly timed jump sections and tons of flow. Traction was medium to high and had quite a bit of grip for such a new layout.

Midwest Nitro Series – Finals

by Rich on October 8, 2014

TylerTLR/JConcepts driver Tyler Jones wrapped a very successful summer season this past weekend. Tyler only had 1 DNF all summer due to a fuel tank issue and his great results have shown that this year. He has gained a lot of experience and had a ton of fun in the meantime. He can’t thank all his sponsor help enough for providing him the equipment to have such a great season!!

This weekend the young gun attended the Midwest Nitro Series finals at Leisure Hours raceway in Joliet,IL. Rain and cold weather scared some off but still a great turnout. With the rain, we were forced to run on the indoor track and the crew had a great track for us. Tyler was able to TQ both Pro nitro buggy and truggy again. With the only 19 lap runs in Pro nitro buggy.
