CA –
The 2008 Jimmy Babcock Racing Leage (JBRL) Electric is back in full swing with round 1 taking place at Pegasus Hobbies in Montclair, CA. Although there was some rain in the morning, the track ended up with a fantastic groove in the afternoon and setup up some great super-fast A-Mains. With 250 entries in attendance competition was at an all time high for a JBRL event.
4wd Mod –
JConcepts driver Frank Root driving his B44 buggy Worked his way into the 2nd position from a 4th place grid position. After about 2 minutes, Frank set sail for leader, teammate Steven Hartson. Frank closed the gap and a bobble by Steven let Frank close in for an even closer look at the lead. As the 2 drivers approached the final laps Steven make a small mistake which allowed Frank to slide by for the well deserved
win.
2wd Mod –
Using the new JConcepts Bar Codes, Frank set a blistering pace in the second round of qualifying taking the TQ by over 3 seconds. Using the advantage of the TQ position Frank took control early in the main event. Frank set a fast consistent pace, and on this day was simply to
much for the competition as Frank cruised home for his second win of the day.
