Paul Wynn makes the trip out to the 2011 Reedy Race of Champions…
JConcepts is on the road again to the west coast for the 2011 Reedy Race hosted by West Coast R/C. My last Off-road race in Cali was the Reedy Race back in 1995 hosted by M-N-M Raceway (insert old jokes here). Greg Hodapp put on a clinic in the invite class by winning 2wd with a perfect score, but I don’t remember who won 4wd.
I raced the open classes and had a great weekend in 4wd finishing 3rd place in the A-main just behind Barry Baker and Brent Wallace. I used a Schumacher CAT that I got from Jason who just switched to yokomo. Jason raced the invite class, but he will have to fill us in where he finished (top 10?).
I’m on my own this weekend as something came up last minute keeping Jason home (get well soon Ali). I brought my 2wd & 4wd buggies along to race the open classes, but not expecting very much. It’s more for the experience racing on the west coast style tracks and gaining as much product knowledge for these conditions.
JConcepts Bar Codes (gold compound) have be chosen for both 4wd classes and we are very excited. Some of the best racers in the world will be racing with our tires and this should provide us with priceless feedback.
