JConcepts Team Driver, Jörn Neumann put in a great performance at this years electric off road European Championships battling against some of the top drivers in the world and taking the 2011 European Championships on the dirt track at Pau, Southern France.
The 4WD class started on Thursday August 25th with 9 Rounds of 4 minute practice runs. Jörn said that the track got better and better and after 3 Rounds it was a nice quick blue groove. For Friday the weather was completly different and the track was completely under water. After a 9 hour break and a lot of track repairing the organizers started one Round of controlled practice. On Saturday, they again had rain in the morning and the start was delayed but soon after the weather stayed nice for the rest of the event.
Qualifying 2nd overall in the shortened schedule, Jörn was ready again with his Durango DEX410. The field was strong, with two former/current World Champions and 6 former/current European Champions in the A. Jörn took the opening two legs of the A-Final to take the overall win in a close fought battle with Lee Martin and Neil Cragg and become the 2011 4WD European Champion.
