JR Mitch, Felix Law, Austin Venezia and Daimon Borkowicz win with JConcepts at Race 2 of the Super Cup Championship Series
NewRed Hobbies in Ocala Florida was the site of race 2 of the 2012 Super Cup Championship Series Spring session. With an awesome turnout of 201 entries you could feel the excitement from the racers ready to lay down the laps on NewRed’s high traction surface.
Race Recap
First up in the A Mains was novice class. Angel Ocasio took the TQ position with 12 laps/5:16. It would be Kermit Butts taking the win with 13 laps/6:01 against Angel’s 13 laps/6:05 for second. Jorge Rosaly took the third pace spot with 13 laps/6:09.
Stock Buggy A Main had Austin Venezia taking the TQ spot and the win with 16 laps/6:08. Alan Wight took the second place spot with 16 laps/6:15.4. Mac Davis with third place, 16 laps/6:15.7.
Expert Buggy Stock had JConcepts driver Daimon Borkowicz taking the TQ spot and A Main win with 17 laps/6:06. Daimon’s B4.1 equipped with JConcepts Bar Codes front and rear, Finnisher body and Hi-Clearance wing, gave him the extra nine seconds needed to take the win. Kory Ferguson took the second place spot with 17 laps/6:15. Mike Applegate in third with 17 laps/6:22
Mod Buggy, JR Mitch takes the TQ spot with 15 laps/5:04. JR would also take the A Main win with 17 laps/6:09.1. Not without a great battle from Leon Mcintosh. Leon drove a very clean aggressive race against JR with only .832 seconds separating first and second place. JR Mitch’s Losi 22 equipped with JConcepts Finnisher Body and High Clearance wing with Blue Bar Codes, gave him the extra advantage he needed to take the win. Felix Law took the third place spot with 17 laps/6:10.
Pro 2 Stock SCT, Austin Venezia once again takes the TQ spot and the A Main win with 16 laps/6:18. Jovan Cruz took the second place spot with 15 laps/6:08 and Bruce Bennett takes third with 15 laps/6:12.
Mod Truck A Main had JR Mitch and Leon McIntosh back at it again for another exciting battle down to the last lap. JR took the TQ spot and the win with 17 laps/6:04.0. Leon put on an impressive display of clean driving for second place spot with 17 laps/6:04.6. JR Mitch’s 22T with the use of the new JConcepts Finnisher Body and Blue Bar Codes, gave him the .0585 seconds needed for the win. Daimon Borkowitz took the third place spot with 17 laps/6:18.
Stock Truck had Bruce Bennett taking the TQ spot and the win with 16 laps/6:08. Tracy Carver took the second place position with 16 laps/6:15. Mac Davis takes third place with 15 laps/6:07.
Another fierce battle for the First place spot, this time between Top Qualifier Felix law and Leon McIntosh in Pro 4 Mod SCT. Leon once again put on a great display of driving against Felix. Felix would take the first place spot with 17 laps/6:03. Leon Mcintosh takes second place only one second behind with 17/6:04. Cory Schoppmeyer takes third with 17 laps/6:18.
Mod 4wd A Main, Ryan Eckert dominates taking TQ and First place with 18 laps/6:08. Janos Lazar takes the second place spot with 16 laps/6:01. Larry Atwood takes third with 16 laps/6:03.
Expert Pro 2 Stock A Main had Superior Hobbies Michael Bruce taking the first place position with 16 laps/6:08. John Bernard took the TQ position but fell only two seconds behind Mike for second place with 16 laps/6:11. Cody Wiles takes third place with 16 laps/6:18.
Pro 2 Mod SCT A Main had Ryan Eckert laying down the law taking TQ and the win with 17 laps/6:10. JConcepts Paul Wynn ran a good race taking the second place spot with 17 laps/6:13. Daimon Borkowicz took the third place position with 17 laps/6:19.
