Wednesday at the track for day 1 was pretty relaxed. No driving or practice was permitted so everyone took the opportunity to get accustomed to the surroundings and took care of last minute details. All the sights and sounds are giving an impression of a tremendous and highly competitive event. Thursday we awake at 5:30am so Tanner can make practice 1 and heat 1. Ouch!
The JC pits are setup and ready to go and we are adjusting to the hot weather. Around 97 degrees and 100% humidity on Wednesday made everyone feel more like a used piece of servo tape… Although its not servo tape anymore, we just use it for speed control and receivers in 1/10th scale. There is almost no use for speed control and receiver tape in a nitro vehicle now.
More coming soon.
