JConcepts Pressure Points dominate the KBRL.
Event: KBRL – Round 2
Track: One Hobbies
Race Reporter: Tommy Hinz
This past weekend brought the second round of the Kenny Brosh Racing League. With just over 245 entries, the day was completely action packed. The day started off with open practice from 8-10, and then 2 rounds of qualifying were to begin. The 1st round started off with the Stadium Truck class which had 5 heats. As the track got a groove, Green Pressure Points were the ticket on the good ole T4.1.
Moving throughout qualifying, Modified 2wd Buggy came onto the track. Once again, Green Pressure Points were phenomenal. Round 2 came and everyone was stunned at how good the JConcepts Pressure Points were working. Mod truck had Tommy Hinz qualified 2nd and Brian Kinwald qualified 3rd. Then in Modified 2wd Brian Kinwald had qualified an impressive 2nd and Tommy Hinz with a BQ.
As the mains started, Pressure Points were the winning combination. Starting it off was an awesome modified truck race. As Trevor Clement the only one to get 19 laps in qualifying Hinz started second followed by Brian. At the sound of the tone we all freight trained into the first corner. Throughout the first laps Chris Wheeler muscled his way into second. A small mistake by Clement and Wheeler and Hinz snuck right by. On lap 12 Wheeler made a little loop out and Hinz went by. The next 16 laps was an epic battle between Hinz, Wheeler and Clement. As the tone buzzed Fischer had snuck into the second spot to get caught at the line – allowing me to have a victory lap.
Mod buggy main was quite epic. Brandon Fox was showing tremendous talent throughout the main having about 4 seconds on second place. However, with 2 minor bobbles Fischer was right on his rear motor guard. Within 2 short laps of patience from Billy, Fox makes a mistake. Billy never looked back the rest of the race. Congrats to all the winners of this last round held at One Hobbies.
