Michael Paige dominates 2wd and 4wd Buggy classes at the second annual Easter Seals benefit race.
RJD Hobbies and Raceway hosted the 2nd annual Easter Seals Race. The event was a two day race held on March 22nd and 23rd.
The first qualifier was on Friday night and the event continued through Saturday. Saturday consisted of two rounds of qualifying and then the mains. The three qualifiers were based off of rocket round which is the best one out of three quals. It was a packed event with over 110 entries.
The track was very tacky in the beginning and then ended up very slick. The track layout was very difficult with a lot of 180’s and jumps, but in the end it worked.
JConcepts Team Driver, Michael Paige TQ’d 2wd buggy and 4wd buggy and took the win in both classes. In the 2wd short course class Michael had a few mechanical problems and ended up finishing 3rd overall. The competition was excellant and it was a great day of racing. There were a lot of guy’s from out of town and out of state which made the competition even greater.
The race was a huge success for the kids at Easter Seals, it ended up raising over $6,000.00. Thanks to all the racers for their support.
