JConcepts has another winning weekend at the 3rd Annual Bring The Heat race hosted by Flowood RC Indoor Park, July 19-21, 2013.
Friday was a full day of practice, the track stayed open until Midnight so everyone had a chance to get their setup right. The layout was a bit technical and drivers were challenged with being consistent and going fast. The track was high bite and had a nice blue groove set after the long day of practice.
On Saturday the track was again available for practice early in the morning with the first round of qualifying starting at 9:45am. This event had Nitro and Electric classes with the Electric classes up first. With 3 rounds of qualifying and just under 200 entries qualifying lasted until 9:30pm. The JConcepts Team had a great day of qualifying with Alex Walters TQ’ing Open 2wd Short Course, Martin Harrison TQ’d Open 4wd SCT, Justin Cranford held the TQ in Open 2wd Buggy and Blake Boggs TQ’d Expert 1/8 eBuggy.
The Mains kicked off at 9:00am on Sunday morning. Electric classes ran extended Double A Mains and the Nitro A Mains were all 45 minutes long. JConcepts ended up winning several classes with Alex Walters taking the win in 2wd Open SCT. Justin Cranford won the 2wd Open Buggy class. Blake Boggs took the win in 1/8 Expert eBuggy and in the 4wd Open SCT Class. Both Expert 1/8 Nitro classes were TQ’d by Adam Drake. Adam went on to win both classes with JConcepts team driver Blake Boggs putting in a great show finishing 2nd in both Expert Nitro Buggy and Truggy.
