JConcepts Wins at Fall Brawl, Sweeps Mod 2wd Buggy.
During the weekend of November 8th through the 9th, A Main Hobbies would host its 2014 Fall Brawl at their indoor facility, Outback Raceway. The event would be host to over 270 entries making for close racing in all classes. JConcepts drivers Eric Albano, Brian Strange, and Nathan Bernal were in attendance equipped with all of their JConcepts gear in the 2wd and 4wd modified buggy classes.
Qualifying would consist of 4 IFMAR format rounds, taking your best 2 of the 4. Qualifying would be a challenge on the high grip and fast layout, having the new JConcepts 60mm Smoothies being the tire of choice throughout. All three drivers would end up making the triple A mains in both classes with their JConcepts equipped B5M’s and B44.3’s.
The Finals would start Sunday with triple A mains, and 2 bumps from each lower main. Albano would have a rough time in qualifying putting him in both B mains, but would mange to bump into both mains. In the 4wd mains, the racing would be very close having the whole field battle for the win. The end results would have A Main driver Curtis Door taking the win with Brian Strange second, and Eric Albano third. The 2wd mains would be very similar with Nathan Bernal having a one point lead going into A3, with a three way tie for second. A3 would put on a show with Strange taking the lead for most of the race, until an incident would allow Albano to take the lead, and the overall by less than a second. Nathan Bernal would end up second, with Strange taking third.
A Main hosted a great event with Kevin Jelich running the program, and building the track. There was exciting racing in all classes, and a well scheduled program. All team drivers ran gold Dirt Webs, Smoothies, Bullet Wheels, and other JConcepts accessories.
