Paul Sinclair updates us on his latest win with his X Factory vehicles equipped with JConcepts tires and accessories…
“There were 120+ entries at this year’s Thunder RC Winterchamps in Nashville, Tennessee. I competed with my X Factory X – 6 Cubed and SCX-61 in 2wd mod buggy and 2wd mod SC, respectively. JConcepts tires hooked up both vehicles as I turned the fastest laps of the weekend on my way to TQ position.
In 2wd mod buggy I began on Green Dirt Webs, but as traction came up through qualifying on Saturday I decided to try the new JConcepts Green Smoothies with Dirt-tech inserts in Round 3. I was able to re-set my TQ time on the slick tires, but my X – 6 Cubed was safer on the treaded tires so I returned to those for the main event. With supreme confidence in the tires I was able to get a good jump on the field from the first lap and didn’t look back, taking a wire-to-wire win.
In 2wd mod short course, again Green Dirt Webs were the order of the day. The new Short Course Dirt Tech inserts provided great agility for the big short course truck on the small indoor track, and the Hi-Flow SCT Body kept the truck rubber-side down over the jump sections. After an early bobble on the second lap of the Amain, I retook the lead from X Factory teammate Cade Bivins and went on to take the win.”
