The 38th annual Motorama 2016 event was held in Harrisburg, PA at the Farm Show Complex with 1 million square feet of everything related to motion. Car shows, go kart racing, arena cross racing, quarter midgets and RC cars along with thousands of spectators looking at an all day to see everything event.
The RC races are split into 2 venues, a 1/10th track in an indoor parking area along with the 1/8th track in the equestrian building. 350 drivers for each side with entries selling out in November make this a must do event on the East Coast.
On the 1/8th side, Floridian JR Mitch piloted his TLR 8ight 4.0 with JConcepts Reflex tires to the front of the field from his 3rd spot on the grid. Taking the command of the front early on in the first 2 of the triple A mains giving him the overall victory for the weekend.
On the 1/10th track Dustin Evans from Colorado set the pace with 3 TQ’s in 2Wheel Buggy, 4Wheel Buggy and Stadium Truck with his fleet of TLR vehicles. Chad Due from Wisconsin was TQ in SCT with his AE SC5M, all of the Mod classes were controlled by JConcepts Dirt Webs in various compounds throughout the day of changing track conditions.
On Sunday’s main day the 2Wheel class had 9 of the 10 drivers on JConcepts Dirt Webs with Dustin Evans making good use of his P1 starting spot to take the win followed by Chad Due and JP Richards to fill the podium.
In 4Wheel, JConcepts held 8 of the 10 A finalist with Dustin Evans again taking the win followed by Max Flurer and JP Richards.
The 2Wheel SCT class had a good battle with Chad Due AE/JConcepts taking the win followed by Christian Toic and X-Factory/JConcepts driver Paul Sinclair finishing 3rd.
Mod Truck was the triple for Dustin Evans followed by Max Flurer and Frank Deiny with the top 5 on Dirt Webs.
