One of if not the most difficult jobs in our R/C Industry has to be owning/operating an R/C Raceway. The manual labor, long hours, poor pay, little gratitude, and dealing with difficult customers are just some of the hot button items that have drove away many track owners in the past. To survie and grind out those daunting tasks for 5+ years would be a true accomplishment. To survie and grind for 10+ years within our industry is almost unheard of, so when you find out that Paul Weber has kept the doors open and racers flowing at P&T Hobbies and Raceway in Mitchell, Indiana for 25 years is just shy of amazing. Located in southern Indiana, P&T Hobbies and Raceway has seen its fair share of top tier talent come through the doors, such as former IFMAR Worlds runner up Brian Dunbar, and many other local, regional, and national level talent.
Celebrating it’s milestone, P&T Hobbies and Raceway held their “25th Anniversary Race” on Saturday February 27th, sporting 3 rounds of rocket round qualifications and lengthened A Mains to determine who got to stake claim to some coveted titles amongst the 90+ entries that arrived. P&T being where it all started for TLR/JConcepts driver Ben Ellis, there was no way the former local would miss out on such a unique race. Competing in 2wd Mod Buggy and PRO 2wd SC, Ellis found JConcepts Green Dirt Webs to offer the best traction for his TLR 22 3.0 and TLR 22SCT 2.0. With the rubber and vehicles on point, Ellis was able to grab the overall TQ’s in both classes, and was able to win the lengthened A mains in both as well, making it a clean sweep for TLR and JConcepts!

Thanks so much for the kind words Ben. I still remember more than a few years ago you were brought in to the track by your father, like so many others who raced here. Now some of my early racers who were here back then are bringing down their own kids… pretty cool. See yall racing!
