How is your racing experience going so far here at the JConcepts Winter Indoor Nationals at SmacTrac?
Awesome!! My first time here has been really fun. Good people, good friends, and learning a lot.
What do you think of the track and the racing so far?
Track is very tight and technical. Lots of on/off throttle and if you get the timing right it’s really fun. Because of the tightness, it’s going to be hard to pass, but definitely fun. Since the stock classes are the first class to run, its been really tricky to get the right pin height, but other than that the racing has been awesome.
How are your cars? What did you do to get more performance from your equipment?
My SC and stadium truck are money. I’m basically running Cav’s setups from nationals and they are dialed. The biggest changes I made to get more speed was playing with timing and gearing for the tight track. Trying to get on top of the saucing game has been another challenge, but always learning is a good thing.
Tell us about the Schuurspeed Extreme Stock Spec V3 motors… how are they performing?
They seem to have a lot more torque than other motors which is a great advantage on tight and technical tracks. They have a smooth power band and they’re just FAST!! Working with Ron Schuur this weekend has been a pleasure. I’ve learned a lot pitting next to him and has been a huge help in this weekend’s performance.
Currently Lucas is TQ in SC and truck… and 4th in stock buggy. Good luck to Lucas in the mains!

How is your racing experience going so far here at the JConcepts Winter Indoor Nationals at SmacTrac?
It started off a little shaky because I wasn’t able to arrive in time for practice and my seeding round Friday night was my first pack on the track.
What do you think of the track and the racing so far?
So far the racing has been really good. The driving has been clean and the track is challenging and tight. That’s the kind of racing I like though so it’s been really fun for me.
How are your cars? What did you do to get more performance from your equipment?
First, my car was really floaty, but after changing my shock package with lighter oils and springs, things have been going good so far. Running 3 cars, and having to wrench on them with no practice has been tough, but I’m here and I’m having a great time.
Tell us about the Schuur Speed Extreme Stock Spec V3 motors… how are they performing?
The torque is awesome. The layout has a lot of tight turns at slow speeds so the gearing has been dialed in for good bottom end power and they rip!
Cole is TQ in 13.5 4wd, 2nd in stock 17.5 SC, and 3rd in stock 17.5 2wd buggy. Good luck Cole!
