JConcepts’ Austin Horne, Mason Fuller and Matt Olson Win Big!
The 3rd annual JConcepts Factory Tracks Invitational was hosted by RC Clubhouse and attracted 360+ entries. RC Clubhouse and Al Horne’s Factory Tracks crew put together an amazing track that worked very well for the heads-up Invitational racing. For the Invite class, they would run the Reedy format with 2 Wheel on Saturday and 4 Wheel on Sunday, with 5 rounds each day and 1 throw out. Control tires were in effect using JConcepts Dirt Webs in Gold compound, and nightly impound to prevent extra work being done to the tires, making every effort to ensure a level playing field.
Invite class:
JConcepts teammates Austin Horne and Mason Fuller would have a great 3 way battle with California native Rudy Rico throughout 2wd & 4wd. After the dust settled, Austin Horne would take his JConcepts equipped Team Associated vehicles to the top of the podium with a winning score of 12 points. Mason Fuller and Rudy Rico would finished tied with 15 points, but Rudy edge out Mason on the tie breaker.
Open classes:
Austin would also go on to win the open 2wd SCT class with his JConcepts equipped SC5M and Mason would take the top spot in the open Stadium Truck class with his JConcepts equipped TLR. JConcepts/MIP driver Matt Olson would have a dominating weekend in the open 4wd SCT & 1/8th e-buggy classes. Matt TQ’d and won both mains with his JConcepts equipped MIP converted 4wd SCT and 1/8th buggy.
