The 2nd round of French National was hosted by the Buggy Club Auxerrois. Back on the track were I finished 2nd at European Championships in 2001. After some heavy rain on Saturday morning, we could run one controlled practice and 3 rounds of qualification. Helped by my JConcepts teammates Jerome Delcourt and Matthieu Chaffardon, I picked up Green Chasers in those conditions. The track was very slippery with many different surfaces that needed pin flex (concrete, pavements, woods…). I TQed Rd 2 and 3 with the fastest time on 5 minutes and also the fastest lap! My car was on rails, and I could secure the overall TQ.
During semi practices, I tested Green Detox, Green Chasers and Green Reflex. I found that Reflex was more precise and gave me the extra steering I needed in the concrete sections, so I picked it up for both the semi and the main. After a flawless semifinal, I laped the entire field after the 20 minutes and started first on the grid! I kept the same scenario in the main, as I led from lap 1 to end up winning by over 2 laps after 45 minutes! I can’t wait to be back on the track and enjoy driving my TLR rides equipped with JConcepts rubber! Next stop, Worlds Warmup in Las Vegas!
