Associated/JConcepts driver Shay Brand TQ and wins in the nitro buggy class.
This past weekend Loganville RC Speedway hosted the Halloween Havoc Retro Race. Instead of IFMAR style qualifying, we went back to the old school gate starts. It was really fun to experience the gate starts again, and really makes for some exciting qualifiers. There were also no Pro and Sportsman classes, it was just Buggy and Truggy. The event was able to pull in around 85 entries for the race. I ran in the Buggy class, as was able to get the overall TQ after some crazy qualifying. In the main, I was able to get a pretty good start, but got shuffled around a little after a few turns.I was able to find my way back to the front and never looked back. I was able to take the overall win for the race. It was a great day of racing with the heads up starts, and hopefully the race will return next year! Thanks to all of my sponsors for all of their help and support, I wouldnt be able to do it without you guys!
