It’s Winning Wednesday and the JConcepts race team continues to get results all across the globe. In the 4th week of July, we’ve got a few new faces that have earned themselves wins and we couldn’t be more proud to report their success on the JConcepts’ blog. Great job guys and keep up the great work!
Making the Winning Wednesday list this week is TLR/JConcepts’ Caleb Stevens. Caleb is a Tennessee local speedster and races at Extreme R/C Raceway. Last week, Caleb was able to take the TQ and win in the 1/8th Nitro Buggy AND the 1/8th Truggy class using JConcepts’ blue compound Reflexes and Triple Dees to find much success. Every week that Caleb races, he gets faster and is learning a ton from top TLR drivers like JR Mitch and Frank Root.
It’s always wonderful to get good news from around the world and this time, our JConcepts Australian Aces topped the charts in New Zealand at the 2017 New Zealand Indoor Offroad Championships. With the rears being a controlled tire, the front tire selection was left open allowing Chris and Shane to use the Swagger fronts to reach the podium. Chris Sturdy was able to take the TQ and win in both 2wd and 4wd open classes! Shane O’Conner was also able to make the podium in 2wd and 4wd and take the overall win in Stadium Truck! What a great weekend for the Australian JConcepts team!
Pennsylvania’s Cody Saner has been participating in the LCRC Raceway Friday Under the Lights Race Series and was able to lock up the overall series title in the Truggy Championship with a 3rd place finish last week. Cody used the green Reflexes to help him reach his goal and get the coveted overall. Congrats and a job well done Cody.
The Wisconsin Kid, Cole Tollard, used the powers of Scotty Ernst to help him take the TQ and win at the Duece in the 1/8th Nitro Buggy class. Who knew the Voice of RC was also a speedy, World Class pitman too? On top of that, it was an excellent weekend for the JConcepts’ team as teammate Brad Shearer and Chad Due would fill out the remaining 2 spots on the podium in a JConcepts podium lockout!
The experienced veteran, Dave Duncan was in Top form at round 5 of the Force Series by taking the win in the 40+ Ebuggy class. With 2 more rounds remaining, it’s going to come down to the wire and with a 1st place finish like this. This is going to greatly help Double D in the point standings. Awesome job DD!
Holding it down for JConcepts in Florida was JConcepts’ Jader Lopez! Jader would go on to win the 4wd modified and Ebuggy classes at Coral Springs’s club race last week. It’s not easy going from 1/10th scale and 1/8th scale buggies, but Jader was able to make the difficult transition and still take wins in both classes. That’s some skill right there!
The race results keep going up for the San Diego, California native Matthew Gonzales. With a never give up and always positive attitude, the hard work is starting to pay off as Matthew was able to take a very deserving win at round 1 of the SDRC Summer Series against some of SDRC‘s finest. Also making the podium in 2nd was JConcepts’ Tyler Hicks and Broc Champlin would find himself 3rd. Another podium lockout for JConcepts!
From Zion, Illinois, Neil Pastka was feeling the flow at the 2017 Horizon Hobby 1/5th Scale Off-Road Dirt Blast and was able to come home with the win in the 1/5th scale buggy class. Simply outstanding!! Check out those awesome looking buggies!
One of the nicest guys at the track, Patrick Rossiter really shines in the electric 1/8th scale classes and last week, Patrick found victory lane in 1/8th Pro Ebuggy and Etruggy at round 5 of The Force Series race at Augusta RC Supercross. That’s one hell of a weekend and rightfully deserved! Great job Patrick!
Illinois’ Will Cushing displayed his speed last week and took a win on turf with his JConcepts equipped B6 at Race Em RC. Using Swaggers up front and Pin Downs in the rear, Will was grippin’ and rippin’ to the top step of the podium. We’ve been extremely delighted that the Swaggers, Pin Downs, and Lockness tires are having much success on carpet/astro and thanks Will for adding another win for the JConcepts tires!
