Winning Wednesday – August Wk 2 and 3

It’s always good to see our team do well whether it’s at a club race, a regional, or national event. Winning is important, but what’s more important is having a positive experience and learning from each event to get better for tomorrow. If you’re dedicated and put in the work, you’re best is yet to come. Thanks to these guys for their hard work and the effort they put in regardless of taking home the 1st place trophy. By loving what you do and going out there to compete, you are winning.

The TLR/JConcepts super duo, JP Richards and Spencer Heckert attended Sparks R/C Raceway‘s Beat the Heat Race in Columbus, Ohio, where both drivers had top finishes with JP taking both TQ and wins in the 2wd and 4wd class and Spencer finishing 2nd in both classes just behind JP making it JConcepts going 1-2!

The Finnish Phenom, Joona Haatanen was at it again adding to his already outstanding year in both the electric and nitro classes. He’s definitely getting faster each race gaining maturity and experience. Joona was able to TQ and take the win in round 4 of the Finnish National Series using JConcepts R2 Reflex tires.

Club racing is a great way to keep your skillset sharp because if you can’t win a club race, you’re probably not going to win a big race. John Bernard was able to do a little clubbin’ with his 4wd Short Course truck at Southside RC Raceway in Lake City, Florida and was able to take the TQ and win using green Chasers to grip and rip.

Jerry Dean II had a fabulous weekend of racing at Shaws RC Track located in Burneyville, Oklahoma during the Red River Shootout Series race. Jerry was able to TQ and win the Expert 4wd SCT class and the Expert Ebuggy class that allowed him to lock up the series point championship in Ebuggy. Jerry’s tire of choice was the green 3D’s in short course and blue Hybrids on the Ebuggy. Great job in the series Jerry!

Tennesse’s Caleb Stevens is rapidly improving in both the 1/10th and the 1/8th platforms maximizing his time at Extreme R/C Raceway. Last week, Caleb was able to take the TQ and win in Ebuggy, a win in Etruggy, and also in the Nitro buggy class showcasing his ever improving skill set. 3 wins in a weekend? Not too shabby!

Will Cushing had phenomenal results at the 2017 ROAR Offroad Nationals. Competing in the 17.5 Stock buggy, 7.5 Stock Short Course, and 13.5 4wd. Will was able to qualify himself high enough to put him in contention for some awesome results. Leaving Nationals, Will asserted himself by finishing 2nd in all 3 classes showing his diverse driving and talent.

If it’s got 4 wheels, Tyler Jones can take it to the winner circle. Fast in 1/8th, fast in 1/10th, and also has serious speed and skills in oval racing as well. Using a loaner ride, Tyler was able to find his way to 1st using JConcepts super soft Barcodes.

Missouri’s Ryan Hughes was able to attend the round 4 of Victory RC‘s point series race where he took the TQ and win the Ebuggy class. Using the JConcepts Hybrids, Ryan was able to scorch the field that provided him enough performance for the win.

Always a delight to hear from our Australian ace, Ray Munday, as he was able to get in some track time at Keilor in Melbourne, Australia. Using blue Dirt Mazes in the rear and Dirt Webs up front, Ray was able to TQ and win both the modified 2wd and 4wd classes. Ray also chose to run the S2 bodies with S-Type Aero wings and front wings to add to his performance. Nice job Ray!

Neil Pestka has been at it in the world of 1/5th scale and having great success. This time, Neil attended the Midwest Classic at Deadend Raceway in Blairsburg, Iowa. Using the 5th scale version of the popular Chaser tire, Neil took home both class TQ’s and wins making it a perfect racing weekend!

Michael Kling wasn’t the fastest on the track, but was the best looking. Michael was able to win the concourse trophy at the 2017 ROAR Offroad Nationals with the best-looking racing truck! To set off the award winning look, Michael used Dirt Webs so not only do the Dirt Webs work awesome, they look killer too! Oh and don’t forget about the Nationals concourse winning Finnisher Truck body!

Danish hotshoe, Jesper Rasmussen was able to continue his hot streak in the Danish Championship series at round 6 with double TQ’s and wins in 2wd and 4wd! Jesper is definitely the driver to beat in Denmark!Check out that wall ride in the background….steep!
