JConcepts takes 4 of 6 podiums at the 2018 RC Monster Jam World Finals in Las Vegas, NV
Fred Reep made the trip out west for the 2018 RC Monster Jam World Finals. A combined effort from the RC and full-scale industry to produce a quality event in front of spectators with an invite list of great drivers, builders and industry personnel behind the RC wheels. Joining Fred were several JConcepts MT Team Drivers, with many amazing trucks, the team put on a great show two days in a row for the Pit Party crowd.
Day one:
2018 R/C Monster Jam World finals featured a new 2 Wheel Skills event and Fred Reep took the first ever win running a brand new chassis developed by JConcepts driver, Tad Goad. This chassis called the “Annihilator” is a Kyosho Mad Force Based chassis topped with JConcepts 1951 Ford body with Grandma Grave Digger graphics. Fred was able to wheel stand, endo, bicycle the Annihilator chassis truck for the win with: JC Renegades Tires, Tribute wheels with JC Shapeways beadlocks. Tekin supplied the horsepower with RX4 speed Control and Pro4 HD 4300kv 550 motor. Reedy provided the power and steering with 4200 50c Wolf Pack battery and RT2207A HV Digital Servo. MIP supplied the heavy duty drive shafts.
Fred would then go on to be the RC Monster Jam World Finals Freestyle Champion during Friday’s events. Now two time Champion, having won freestyle at last year’s event representing the Blue Thunder Monster Truck Team. Fred’s Annihilator chassis Retro Grave Digger was at 100% lights and all for an outstanding freestyle performance receiving top scores from the judges.
Day two:
Noah Dale from Selma North Carolina would take the 2wheel skills win with his Earth Shaker ZRP Assassin Pro equipped with JConcepts Renegades tires and Tribute Wheels.
Dan Wyatt from Dearborn Michigan takes Saturdays R/C Monster Jam World Finals Freestyle win running his Team Scream Avenger bodied Annihilator chassis truck. Dan’s tire of choice was blue compound Renegades with Tribute wheels. Wyatt is a two time Freestyle Champion taking a freestyle win in 2017 as well.
The R/C Monster Jam world finals wrapped up the event with a special performance for 15 years of Maximum Destruction. The final stunt of this performance was performed by JConcepts own, Fred Reep. Fred launched his JConcepts Traxxas Slash 4×4 conversion with Axial Max D body up into the Stratosphere completing three back flips before sticking the landing back on earth, clearing 14 Max D RC trucks + ramp in the process. After sticking the landing the crowd goes wild for a perfect ending to the 2018 event. This jump wouldn’t have been possible without the help from Tekin supplying the horsepower with RX4 speed Control and Pro4 HD 4300kv 550 motor. Reedy provided the power and steering with 4200 50c Wolf Pack battery and RT2207A HV Digital Servo. MIP supplied the heavy duty drive shafts transferring the big horsepower to the JConcepts Renegades Tires in blue compound mounted on silver Tribute wheels with orange JC Shapeways beadlock rings. Lunsford fastened the truck together nice and tight with Ti screws.
Special thanks to Monster Jam, Feld Entertainment for hosting the 3rd annual R/C Monster Jam World finals. Thanks to all of the participants and track crew for putting in all of the hard work to make the event a huge success!
