The final round of the 2019 series has come to an end, hosted by Beachline Raceway in Cocoa, FL. We had another great turnout with 126 entries, keeping a steady pace throughout the day, had us done before 5pm.
Beachline had a fresh layout in for this race, a great flow and an always great place to race. If you are ever in the area, be sure to check out the track and hit one of their weekly club races.
The JConcepts crew headed over Friday morning, had everything set up and hit the track for some practice.
Saturday morning we kicked things off at 9:30 am and kept up the pace all day long. There were some great battles and close racing all day long.

The A Mains kicked off with the Independent 17.5 Buggy class. This is a control tire class and everyone was on the JConcepts Swaggers and Pin Downs. AJ Zale would dominate qualifying, taking the overall TQ, he would also go on to lead the A Main from tone to tone. Tom Sherman would qualify 4th and go on the finish 2nd in the Main. Kevin Castillo would qualify 6th and finish the A in third. For the season, it would be Chris Navarrete taking the overall points followed by Jeff Lynn and Tracey Proctor rounding out the top 3 in the final points.
Next up would be the Expert 17.5 Buggy A Main. Another very popular class this season, we had 23 drivers competing this weekend. Daniel Chavez would TQ and lead the A Main from tone to tone. Ryan Harris would qualify second and finish second in the Main. Brad Nicosia would qualify 6th overall but work his way up to the third spot on the podium. In the final points it would be, Ryan Harris taking the top spot, Jader Lopez and Brad Nicosia will round out the top three overall.
The 40+ 2wd Open A Main would be up next. John Prickett would take the win after qualifying third overall. Jabin Carlton would TQ and with a very close finish at the end take the 2nd spot followed closely by our race announcer Dave Duncan. Dave would take the overall points for 2019 followed by Pat Herman.
Up next would be the Independent 17.5 Truck A Main. Tom Sherman would TQ overall and lead the Main from tone to tone. Jeff Lynn and Tracey Proctor would finish 2nd and 3rd. For the overall Season it would be Tracey Proctor taking the overall top spot, Jeff Lynn taking the 2nd overall spot, Pat Herman would finish the Series third overall and AJ Reynolds would take the fourth overall spot for 2019.
13.5 Stadium Truck A Main would be up next, Shaun Morrow would take the overall TQ even after a few good battles with Kenny Setser. Scott White would capitalize an a few late mistakes by Kenny and finish second and Kenny would take the third spot on the podium. For the 2019 season, Kenny Setser would take the overall points win followed by Alex Mac in second and Shaun Morrow third overall.
2wd Buggy Modified would see Lee Setser and World Champ Billy Easton battle it out all day. Billy would have a great 1st qualifier, Lee would have a great 2nd qualifier, with the Qual Points it would be Lee taking the overall TQ. After a great A Main race, it would be Billy Easton finishing on the top of the podium followed by Lee in second. Our third overall qualifier would be Julien Oliveras, Julien would fall to fourth for a few laps in the Main but make his way back up to third to finish on the last step of the podium. For the 2019 overall points it will be Lee Setser, Daimon Borkowicz and Jader Lopez as your top three finishers.
The Independent 17.5 SCT A Main would be up next. Tom Sherman would be the Top Qualifier for the day and finish first in the A. Tracey Proctor would qualify 2nd and finish 2nd in the Main. Long time Super Cup racer Harold Thomas would qualify third overall but it would be Jeff Lynn finishing third and Harold would settle for fourth for the weekend. In the overall season points it will be Tracey Proctor, Jeff Lynn and Shawn Schmidt finishing one, two, three.
Next up would be the 13.5 4wd Buggy A Main. Ryan Harris would dominate qualifying, taking the TQ spot and cruising to victory in the A from tone to tone. Jabin Carlton would qualify second and finish second for the day. Melvin Perez would take the final spot on the podium after qualifying fourth overall. The overall season points would see Ryan Harris taking the victory followed by Jader Lopez and Alfredo Morales rounding out the top three for the year.
The final race of the day would be the 4wd Buggy Modified A Main. Lee Setser would set the pace and TQ, Lee would go on to finish on top. Peter Loncsar would qualify second and finish the day that way. Kiarra Hold would also qualify and finish the same taking third overall. For the 2019 season it would be Lee Setser taking the overall points followed by Daimon Borkowicz and Mark Croxford would round out the top three for the year.
The 2019 season was a little different this year but overall it was another success. A big thank you to all the tracks that put in the hard work and gave us the best places to race this season.
