RC10B2 Carbon Fiber Front Shock Tower
The first release for the Fall was a new option part for vintage RC10B2 owners. The JConcepts Carbon Fiber Front Shock Tower is a direct fit for the classic buggy platform since it uses the original design geometry.
A JC logo is machined on the front and it is comprised of 2.5mm thick genuine carbon fiber material. This part is more rigid than the stock plastic part which will give a driver another tuning option since the rigid feel will increase the response of the front-end of the buggy.
Tire Reference & Comparison Packet
To help customers decide on the correct tire and compound for their RC vehicle, JConcepts has released this online Tire Reference and Comparison Packet.
There is a small description about each tire, a chart that explains the different compounds and their color codes, and what surface conditions and temps to run our products in. This guide is a great tool when researching your next tire purchase for the track, backyard, or beyond so please use this LINK to view it today.
Next up was this sweet looking retro Ford truck body. The JConcepts 1979 Ford F-250 clear body features the iconic rectangular headlights and one-piece center grille from that period of Ford trucks.
The front and rear bumpers are molded into the design of the body shell and the included decal sheet includes everything you need to bring out the realistic features of the tailgate, front end and more. This body will fit a vehicle with a 12.30″ wheelbase and 8″ width so it is the perfect upgrade for The Traxxas TRX-4 Sport, Element Enduro and any Axial 12.30″ wheelbase vehicle.
Team Associated has released their latest version of their 4 wheeler and JConcepts once again has you covered with the new S2 body. Available in both standard and light-weight options, this new body uses an aggressive and progressive cab design that lowers the center of mass in the front end for superior steering and balance.
The roof channels the air flow through the center of the F2 body and there are upper side-pods that can be removed to help dissipate heat from the electronics underneath. Each body includes two S-type wings, a decal sheet and window masks.
The Gozer Monster Truck Clear Body
No, this isn’t a new body to celebrate the reboot of the Ghostbusters movie franchise, but if you are fan of those movies, or monster trucks, then check out this new body option from JConcepts! This exciting new design will fit monster trucks with a 12.5-13.0″ wheelbase.
The front and rear section of the body provide ample clearance for large racing tires like our #3168 Renegades. The cab features a high-roof design with four doors and large windows below it. Each body come with windows masks and a detailed decal sheet. The sheet also includes grille options to customize the look of your Gozer even more.
And to top off the look of this body, the team has designed a complete cage that you can purchase separately through our Shapeways store.
Aluminum 20mm Clamping Servo Horns
Earlier in the year we released our 23 & 25T Aluminum Servo Horns for Team Associated B6, T6, and SC6 generation vehicles, but now we also offer Aluminum Servo Horns for 1/8 4wd Buggies like the Mugen MBX8 & Team Associated RC8B3.2.
The Aluminum 20mm Clamping Servo Horns are crafted from precision machined aluminum and anodized in black. Chamfer highlights have been added to the edges and even though they are lightweight they still offer plenty of durability especially for those long A mains.
A 23T and 25T spline option is available and a 3m standard mounting screw is included to help secure the horn into place.
Hawks & Animal SCT Tires & Pre-Mounts
Next the JConcepts engineering team released this short course tire tag team for all your bashing needs. Let’s first look at the Hawk tire.
This ribbed tire is intended to be use on the front of your truck to help you steer through loose surface like dirt and sand. The multi-rib tire uses a directional design to help zip and rip through the loam and slit dirt in a straight line. It is narrower than a common short course tire to help it achieve that full scale look.
It will still fit any common 3.0″ x 2.2″ wheel and uses our long lasting Yellow compound.
You can purchase these tires with the open cell inserts or hit the easy button for your Traxxas Slash vehicle and pick up a set of pre-mounted Hawks on our new Tremor wheels.
The next tire is a different ‘animal’ in terms of the overall design. The Animal tire is intended to be used on the rear of your short course truck to help you navigate through dirt, sand and possibly even the snow.
The unique carcass features strategically placed upper paddles that incorporate a scoop shape to help you plow forward through loose terrain.
Just like the Hawk, this tire comes in our durable and grippy Yellow compound are sold either as un-mounted or pre-mounted on our Tremor wheels.
B74.1 Aluminum 20mm Clamping Servo Horns
Just in time for new B74.1 owners, JConcepts now offers our popular Aluminum Clamping Servo Horns for this vehicle. These are crafted from precision machined aluminum which are both light-weight and durable at the same time.
The horn’s appearance is accented by chamfer highlight edging with a laser etched JC logo on one side and the tooth count on the other. Both 23T and 25T count servo horns are available and to help it stay secured to your vehicle it uses the familiar clamping design with our integrated set screw on the side.
Add a dab of thread lock, tighten down the screw and then hit the track with both style and performance at the same time.
This new body is perfect for scale builders looking for a military inspired project. It is designed to fit trucks with a 12.3″ wheelbase so it is the perfect upgrade for popular Axial or Element vehicles or the Traxxas TRX-4 Sport.
The cab has a canvas like top with a heavily bordered window and resting behind the cab is a truck bed with a molded faux wooden toolbox. On each side of the body panel is a small molded jerry can that can be painted any color for your desired final look. The included decal sheet includes distressed stars along with multiple grille and headlight options to complete the look.
But, not only does this new body look great it performs great too! The large flange fenders will allow for large tires so you can achieve more grip even as the chassis flexes over the rough terrain. A protective film and window masks are also included to aid you in applying that perfect realistic paint scheme too.
We first released these wheels with our pre-mounted Hawk and Animal SCT tires but now they are available for purchase separately in multiple color options! These new wheels feature a mock bead lock design the rests on the outside of the wheel. It is held in place with the included 2x6mm SHCS hardware and we have four different color combinations to choose from:
- White wheel, Black ring
- Red wheel, Black ring
- Black wheel, White ring
- Black wheel, Red ring
Only our pre-mounted Hawk and Animal SCT tires are available in a Black wheel, Black ring configuration at this time. The wheel uses a 5-star pattern design with faux lug nuts molded into it and we offer two widths: narrow front and standard SCT rear.
For 2wd SCT vehicles like the Traxxas Slash, you will want to use our narrow width front Tremor wheels and pair them with our ribbed Hawk tires to help you steer and glide through loose surfaces.
For the rear tires you will want to use our standard width Tremor wheels which are compatible with any industry standard 2.2″ x 3.0″ SCT tires. So, for a popular vehicle like the Traxxas Slash 4×4 you will want to pick up two sets and pair them with your favorite all terrain tire like our new Animal treads.
Then attach the ring to it with the included hardware to complete the look, glue up your tire and then hit your favorite bashing spot with style and performance thanks to JConcepts!
Mono 2.2″ Front & Rear Wheels For The Team Associated RC10, RC10B2 & RC10B3
Even though JConcepts is always thinking about future products, we also make sure to remember the past especially for our vintage RC enthusiasts. So here are a few products for the drivers looking to restore an old shelf queen or working on a new retro build.
Our popular Mono wheels are now available in the original offset for the RC10, RC10B2 and RC10B3. Starting with the front wheels, these 2.2″ wheels are inspired by the originals and feature the iconic dish shape and seat non-flanged 3/16 x 3/8″ bearings. To make these compatible with today’s tires the inner wheel width has been slightly enlarged and each wheel includes a vent hole on the outer diameter.
We also added an outer “catch” to reduce the chances of glue running down the face of the wheel during the gluing process. There are available in either bright white or fluorescent racing yellow and each package includes 4 wheels. Do note that in order for the track width to be like the original, it’s important to use either the AE #6220 or JC #2308 front axle (which we’ll explain go over in a bit).
The new Mono 2.2″ rear wheels are also compatible with the RC10, RC10B2 & RC10B3 and available in either bright white or fluorescent racing yellow. They also use the original offset and iconic dish shape along with utilizing the pin drive setup for 3/16″ axles.
They also have been slightly widened on the inside of the wheel to make them compatible with today’s tires too and also include a vent hole. They also use the “catch” feature to help track down runaway glue and each package includes 4 wheels.
Aluminum Standard Front Axles For The RC10, RC10B2 & RC10B3
As I mentioned earlier, when using the new Mono 2.2″ front wheels to get the correct track width you need to use the original Team Associated axle (#6220). Since this part is no longer manufactured you either have to scour the internet or the bargain bin of your local hobby shop to still find them.
So, to make life easier we have re-created these OEM parts which are comprised of 7075 Aluminum and anodized black. The outside of the axles are threaded to accept the original style nylon wheel nut and the inside is also threaded for a 4-40 set screw which is not included.
Rubber Parts Tray Now Available In White, Pink & Green
Our popular Rubber Parts Trays are now available in three exciting new colors! These trays are comprised of soft, flexible rubber that still hold their shape after repeated use and are loaded with many nice features.
There are 10 different compartments molded into them with one main large compartment that is the entire length of the tray. Six smaller compartments can be used for small screws, body clips, wheel nuts, or those pesky diff balls that always seem to roll off your pit mat during a build.
There is one medium size compartment to left of those smaller compartments. Along the top there are six holes that are designed to hold your differentials when you need to top them off with fluid or when performing a full rebuild.
There are also small compartments between each set of holes which can be used to store small pins, shims, etc.
Regulator Option Parts & Shapeways Accessories
We are now offering even more tuning options for our popular Regulator chassis conversion kit. Some of these parts are 3D printed and available on our Shapeways store. The parts include transmission housing halves, axle tubes, steering blocks, ladder bars, lower link connectors, and connector bar support. But in order to take advantage of some of these updates, it is necessary to use some of the additional new parts that we offer on our website along with the Shapeways parts to completely outfit your monster truck for improved performance. We’ll briefly go over these parts but first here is a nice overview video showing the entire regulator chassis assembly together with Shapeways parts:
Regulator Transmission Case
We now offer two different cases, one narrow and one wide. No matter which case you opt for you will need two halves to complete the build. With our changes it is now possible to incorporate sliding motor capability so drivers can change a motor pinion to test out new gearing at events where it is allowed. In addition, #2864 and #2866 are needed for motor mounting, movement and clamping. If a locked rear axle is used, the #2867 is needed to brace the new rear transmission case.
These axle tubes allow for more caster since two holes provide an option of 2.5 degrees in either direction now. You will need to pick up four of these parts to completely build two transmissions.
These updated knuckles have been slimmed down and improved to provide a driver the correct positioning of the bearings and beefy platform for fiberglass steering arms (#2868, available separately) which bolt-on for added security. You will again need four of these to build two complete transmissions.
Regulator Lower Left & Right Links
The Regulator lower links are now assembled from the front to make builds and re-builds that much more simplified since the two piece design will now be built around the axle tubes. There is also a shock mount located on each piece too plus the new links have been designed for more tire clearance to give you a tighter turning radius when you combine them with the JConcepts Behind Axle Steering kit on one end. Two parts of each will be required to build two complete axle assemblies.
This new front facing closure was designed to work with our lower links. Together they simply the process of opening and closing the bars for maintenance. They will wrap around the front-side of the axle tube plus provide an outside shock position all in one simple unit. A total of four of these parts are required to build two complete axle assemblies.
Regulator Lower Link Connector Bar
We redesigned the lower link connector bars to accommodate the updated transmission case, sliding motor ability and simplified with smooth surface and countersunk screw heads. One side is equipped with the connected end to brace the transmission and prevent the rolling during acceleration and deceleration. Two parts of each will be required to build two complete axle assemblies.
Regulator Transmission Connector Bar Support
The transmission connector bar support needed an update to maintain correct distance with updated transmission and also bolt to the new lower link connector bar. The design locks down on the connector bar and provides the brace from one to the other. Two parts of each will be required to build two complete axle assemblies.
Now that we gone over the option parts available on our Shapeways store, here are some aluminum and fiberglass option parts available on the JConcepts website.
This all-aluminum, machined plate motor mount cover will allow for easier gearing changes. It is slotted for movement, fits 3mm hardware with washers and works only with #2866 longer motor mount tubes.
This cover works with our transmission case available on the Shapeways store and two pieces are included per package.
Use these new aluminum tubes with the Regulator transmission case to move your motor for gearing changes. These are also required to work in conjunction with the #2864 motor mount cover that we just went over. These tubes are longer and four pieces included per package. They are machined to fit precisely into the 3D printed transmission case and slide inside the motor mount cover too.
Regulator Rear Steering Lock-Out
Since the Regulator transmission case was slightly revised in geometry and in order to lock the rear steering, we designed a new steering lock-out comprised of beefy 3mm fiberglass. This design retains its strength and keeps the rear locked in position.
This is critical for events and courses running in a straight-line and require great tracking ability. Used in combination with the JConcepts Behind Axle Steering kit, the lock-out is a key to push the Regulator transmission case and assembly to the most competitive level.
When running our Regulator steering knuckles a strong steering arm was required which is where these new steering arms come into play. They are crafted from 4mm thick fiberglass and precision machined to fit the new knuckles.
Four pieces are included in each package and combined with our knuckles they will deliver more control, steering clearance and position to gain an advantage over the competition.
1970 Chevy K10 USA-1 Edition Clear Monster Truck Body
For this next release JConcepts created a new partnership with USA-1 4×4 and owner Everett Jasmer to create this special edition clear monster truck body. We took our existing 1970 Chevy K10 clear body and worked with those folks to create a new decal package that correctly captures the look and spirit of the USA-1.
This officially licensed body is a direct fit for the Clod Buster, Stampede 2wd, or any other truck with a 10.5″-11″ wheelbase. The included decal sheet offers you different four grille options and to complete the replica look we also offer a 3D printed Rollbar and Lightbar on our Shapeways store.

Pre-Mounted Swaggers & Twin Pins
Next, we hit the easy button for carpet racers looking to get onto the track faster. Due to the nature of the hard tire compounds used for carpet racing it can be difficult for new racers to properly glue their tires to the wheels. So JConcepts has made this step easier by offering our popular Swaggers & Twin Pins in a pre-mounted option.
The Swaggers are a popular front tire for today’s 2wd buggies thanks to its ultra-low-profile carcass. Added side-wall ribs that form a circular pattern also aid in consistent handling. Due to its small diameter no insert is needed and now you can pick these up already glued to our 12mm hex “slim” style front wheels in either white or yellow color options.
The Twin Pins are a popular rear tire choice for both 2wd and 4wd buggy owners and are also available pre-mounted to our Mono rear wheels that use an industry standard 12mm hex. Both white and yellow color options are available and stuffed inside are open cell inserts. The tire design itself features dual, connected pins with alternating positioning, sidewall legs with micro pins and a carefully shaped profiled carcass for more rolling speed.
The newest item to the Finish Line product line was designed to keep your oil bottles organized and ready to go on race day. Many times, a driver will need to change their shock oil or diff fluids at the track. Taking time to track down the proper fluids or finding out they tipped over and spilled everywhere in your pit bag is not where you want to be on race day. 
So, with this new bag you can safely secure up to 25 bottles using the holes in the pre-cut high density foam. They are locked in tight by zipping up the top lid and when the lid is opened there is a storage pocket on the underside.
On the top of the lid is an embroidered authentic JConcepts Finish Line logo and a rugged handle is attached to the top for easy transport.
Next, we released some wing options for 2wd buggies starting with a new lower front wing for the Team Associated B6.2. This wing attaches cleanly to the standard front wing mount that is included with this kit and two wings are included per package. The included cut lines make it easy to trim it out and the dimples in the wing help you to locate where you need to ream out holes in order to mount it. The leading center section of the wing uses a V-shape to aid you in aerodynamics and allow clearance for the movement of the front inner camber links.
Carpet | Astro High-Clearance 7′ Rear Wing
Our popular Carpet | Astro High-Clearance Rear Wing is now available in a 7″ option for all 2wd buggy platforms. The previous wing was 6.5″ wide but due to the demands of today’s carpet and Astroturf surfaces drivers clamored a wider wing and JConcepts answered their call. This wing incorporates a short-cord design for quicker rotation and a flat-base to give you more rear tire clearance. The rear corners are chopped to add more rigidity and make it more durable for those inevitable high speed crashes. The side-dams also feature hard radius cut-outs to allow for even more rear tire expansion. Cut-lines are incorporated into the design as well to give a driver more tuning options and two wings are included in each package.
Titanium Finnisher 3x6mm Motor Screws
These new screws will fit a variety of vehicles that require 3mm motor mounting screws. They are crafted from high-grade, machined titanium materials that are silver in color. To enhance the final look of this product they have been anodized in black and the heads have highly detailed areas that have been machined away.
This machined area incorporates holes and notched hexes that make them more lightweight without sacrificing their overall strength. To install them in a vehicle use a 2.5mm hex driver in the center of the notched hexes.
B6.2 Aluminum Rear Hub Carriers
These rear hubs are crafted from precision machined aluminum and anodized in black. They are compatible with the stock Associated hub inserts and aluminum camber link mounts.
Since these are forged from aluminum they will remain lightweight while retaining their correct geometry during high speed incidents out on the track. Four FHSCS hub carrier screws are included to help you complete the installation of these new hubs.
Black Fin Titanium Turnbuckle Set For The Mugen MBX-8
For Mugen MBX-8 owners JConcepts now offers our popular Fin Titanium Turnbuckles in a black color option. For the camber and steering links a beefy 5mm titanium square rests in the center. On each side it gradually tapers down into a threaded base that synchs up with the kit’s included rod ends. The center square also features “finned” cuts to enhance its overall look.
This set also includes a 3mm steering drag link to complete the look of your vehicle too. All of the buckles use left and right-hand threads with the left side conveniently marked to help you install them properly.
Monroe Carbon Fiber Battery Brace & Front Shock Tower For The RC10
Back by popular demand are a few option parts for the RC10. First up is the re-release of the Monroe Carbon Fiber Battery Brace. This is battery strap will secure your pack in place thanks to its genuine 2.5mm Carbon Fiber material.
The design also allows you to move your pack forward or backward so you can adjust weight tuning while still maintaining the necessary terminal clearance and security of the battery.
Finally, we have re-released our popular Carbon Fiber front shock tower. This is also crafted from genuine 2.5mm Carbon Fiber and reinforcement ribs have been incorporated into the design to add more strength to it. The tower also maintains the classic geometry and provides you a more rigid feel which will increase the vehicle’s front end response on the track.
