The JBRL (Jimmy Babcock Racing League) Nitro Off-Road Series recently wrapped up for the 2020 season. This was the 15th annual year running this series in California and when the series began there were eight rounds scheduled in total.
But due to the emergence of the pandemic in 2020, several rounds had to be rescheduled in order to meet the guidelines set forth by local county health officials. So after all the delays and rescheduling one round ended up being dropped from the series all together.
So that meant drivers had to make sure every round counted now since there were less opportunities to podium in the seven rounds that were completed. For the entire series, five different tracks were visited and each one produced a new challenge for the drivers in all classes.
Each round averaged over 200 entries and due to the rescheduling and delays the series actually just wrapped up this last month at Thunder Alley Raceway in Beaumont. Mugen/JConcepts driver Adam Drake competed in three different classes at all seven rounds of this series and wrapped up the overall title in all of them!
