With March in the rear view mirror the JConcepts team springs ahead into April with more wins around the nation! See where we won this past week in this fresh edition of the JConcepts Race Team Update!
This week’s race report starts at Taylor Park RC Raceway in Yukon, OK for their 6th Annual Spring Nationals. We had many drivers competing at this dirt oval event so let’s get some quick updates from the team starting with JConcepts driver Robert Chapman.
He reported that he was able take the double TQ and win in both the Outlaw Sprint and Midwest Modified classes! Both rides were equipped with Green compound Dirt Web fronts and Green compound Ellipse rears along with black 9-Shot wheels.
Our next report comes from JC driver Tyler Keel who finished right behind Robert on the Outlaw Sprint podium! He used the same tire combination along with Dirt Tech inserts.
Teammate David Alford reported that he also competed in the Outlaw Sprint and Midwest Modified classes. He was the BQ in both classes and made the bump into the A for the Midwest Modified class and finished 7th overall! He used Green compound Ellipses on all four corners for both vehicles.
JC mate Billy Caldwell reported that he also competed in the Outlaw Sprint class with a new chassis while waiting for a freshie to arrive. He didn’t have the best results that he hoped for, but he still had a good time and used our Ellipses mounted to Mono wheels!
Team driver Kevin Lenderman also competed in both the Outlaw Sprint and Midwest Modified classes. He would finish 5th in the B Main for the Sprint class and finish 3rd on the podium in the Midwest Modified class! Both cars used Green compound Dirt Webs up front and Ellipses in the same compound in the rear and all mounted to white Mono wheels.
JConcepts driver Heath Lawson was also competing at this event and reported that he just missed out on the transfer spot for the Outlaw Sprint class. He used our Green compound Ellipses in the rear and Dirt Webs up front, and all on Mono wheels!
Now we head south into Grand Prairie, TX to get this race update from JC driver Micah Smith. He recently competed at A#1 Air Raceway and finished 3rd in 1/8 Nitro Buggy while using O2 compound Blockers and a S15 body!
Heading east we stop in at the Rocket City Radio Controlled Race Club (RC3) in Huntsville, AL. They recently head their season opener which saw 180 entries! Team driver Blake Boggs checks in to report that he took the TQ and win in the 1/8 Pro Electric Buggy class! He used a Silencer body, Blue compound ReHab tires during the day and Green compound Reflex tires that night.
Joining him on the podium in 2nd was teammate Izriah Osborne! For qualifying he used Blue compound Triple Dees and switched to Green compound for the main event. And completing the podium sweep for the JConcepts team was teammate Randy Enger! He reports that he used a S15 body, F2I wing and Green compound Reflex tires.
JC driver Drew Williams also competed at this event in three different classes: 1/8 Electric Truggy and Buggy and 1/8 Nitro Buggy. He qualified for the A Mains in all three classes and finished 6th in 1/8 Nitro Buggy, 5th in 1/8 Electric Buggy and 1st overall in 1/8 Electric Truggy!
