It was another busy weekend for the JConcepts race team as the outdoor racing season is heating up! Many trophy events and points series are underway now so let’s see how our drivers performed in this week’s Race Team Update!
We start this week’s report in one town, for two different events, at two different tracks! Up first is FTR Raceway in Foley, MN. They just kicked off the opening round to their Points Series and we had several drivers competing so let’s see how they finished up.
Starting with team driver Joe Zaier Jr. he reports that he finished in 3rd place in the Mini 4wd Truggy class! He used Green compound Sprinters with open cell foams.
JC driver Kyle Holmberg reports that he took the TQ and win in the 1/8 Nitro Buggy class! He ran Green compound Reflex tires plus a Silencer body and F2I wing. Joining him on the podium in 3rd place was JC mate Tony Sletten! He also used the same tire options mounted to Bullet wheels plus a S15 body.
Staying in town we now jot over to 510 Raceway. With the warmer temps and outdoor season approaching they just held their final event of the season, and our driver Ethan Delair was in attendance. He reported that he took the double TQ and win in both the Mod 2wd and 4wd Buggy classes! Both bugs used F2 bodies, Carpet | Astro High-Clearance 7″ Rear Wings, and Gold compound Ellipses on all four corners.
Now let’s twist our way down to Wichita, KS where Emery RC Raceway is located.
Our driver Ken Peterson attended their recent Battle for the Belt Point Series and reported that he set the TQ and finished 3rd overall in the 1/8 Nitro Buggy class! He said that Red compound Kosmos tires were the ticket for this race.
Moving further south into Oklahoma we stop in at Spring Creek R/C Speedway in Waukomis.
This past weekend they just completed their “Prelude to the Classic” race and our driver Randy Lathrop reports that he took two 3rd place finishes in the 410 Sprint and Midwest Mod classes! He ran Dirt Webs up front with Ellipses in the rear on both cars.
His better half Jen was also racing at this event and she took the win in the Late Model class using the same tire setup!
JConcepts driver Tyler Keel also competed in the 410 Sprint class and qualified and finished in 2nd place! He used Gold Dirt Webs up front, Ellipses in the rear and both with Dirt-Tech inserts.
Next we shoot down to Texas for some more roundy round race reports from the team competing at the recent Pro Series Race held at the Money Pit in Merkel.
Team driver Kevin Lenderman competed in two classes and finished 2nd in Midwest Mod and 1st in Mod SC! His Mod SC car used Blue compound Sprinters mounted to black Hazard wheels. His Midwest Mod car use Green compound Dirt Webs up front with Blue compound Ellipses in the rear. Both of these tires were mounted to white Mono wheels.
His teammate Noel Cerda was also at this race and took the TQ and win in the Late Model class! His winning car used Green compound Dirt Webs up front with Ellipses in the rear. Both were mounted to black 9 Shot wheels. He also took 4th in the Outlaw Sprint class while running the same tire and wheel package!
JConcepts driver Robert Chapman competed in both the Outlaw Sprint and Midwest Mod classes and finished 2nd in the Sprint class and 3rd in Midwest! Both rides were equipped with Green compound Dirt Web fronts and Ellipse rears while mounted to black 9 Shot wheels. Joining him on the Outlaw Sprint podium in 1st place was teammate Quincy Hughes! He reported that he took the double TQ and win in both the Midwest Mod and Outlaw Sprint classes! He started on Green compound Ellipse and Dirt Webs but settled on those tires in the Gold compound at the end.
Now let’s get this fast update from team driver Bradley Peterson. Over the weekend he was in Blue Springs, MO competing at Round 1 of the Fastlane Raceway summer series. He competed in the 1/8 Expert Nitro Buggy class and locked up 3rd place on the podium! For this race he used Blockers in the Blue compound, Bullet wheels, a F2I wing and a S15 body.
Now we bounce over to Union City, IN to get this next update from JC driver Tyler Jones. He recently competed at Jax Trax who hosted Round 1 of the OEOSS (Ohio Extreme Off-Road Summer Series). He took the TQ and win in the 1/8 Nitro Buggy class while running a S15 body and Green compound Reflex tires!
Our next update is from the recent TSOC (Two States One Championship) Series that was held over the weekend at Badlands RC Supercross in Myrtle Beach, SC. So let’s get an update from the team starting with driver Jason Westfall.
He reported that he took 2nd overall in the Mod 2wd Buggy class while running R2 compound Ellipses in the rear and Dirt Webs up front along with a F2 shell!
Teammate Luis Diego competed in the 1/8 Electric Truggy class and finished up with a TQ and win! He used Blue compound Reflex tires and a Finnisher body.
JC driver Jake Stikeleather was also in attendance and took the win in the 1/8 Nitro Buggy class! He used O2 compound Detox tires for qualifying but then switched over to R2 compound stalkers for the main event plus a F2I wing the entire time. Joining him on the podium were JConcepts teammates David Olsen (2nd) and Brandon Melton (TQ and 5th)!
Speaking of David Olsen he also competed in the 1/8 Electric Buggy class. In both classes he would see the podium as he finished 3rd in e buggy as well! His nitro car used Blue compound Detox tires and his e buggy ran smooth on ReHabs in the same compound. Both cars used S15 bodies too.
Our next stop is at Phil Hurd Raceway in Savannah, GA who recently hosted Round 4 of the SCORE Points Series. Our driver Patrick Rossiter Jr. was in attendance and reports that he took the double TQ and win in the 1/8 Electric Buggy and Truggy classes! His electric buggy used Green compound Reflex tires, a S15 body and a Hybrid Polycarbonate, Pre-Trimmed 8th Buggy | Truck wing. His winning truggy also used the same tire setup.
Now we fly out west into California to get a few updates from the team competing at different events. Starting with team driver Jeremy Bunting he recently competed at the Nor Cal RCMT 2021 JConcepts Points Series at AMain Silver Dollar RC Raceway in Chico. He said he won racing, tied for 2nd in freestyle, and took the overall event win for the MT class! His monster truck was using the following JC goodness:

- Tribute Wheel Mock Beadlock Rings
In the 2.2 class he also took the TQ, won in freestyle and grabbed the overall as well! His winning truck used the following goodies:

- Renegades Jr 2.2 tires
- Midwest wheels
Now we head to SDRC in San Diego for a few updates from the Raymond brothers. They were both competing at SDRC’s Summer Solstice 2.0 event and Levi finished 6th in 17.5 Expert 2wd Buggy and grabbed the TQ and win in the 13.5 Expert 4wd Buggy class! He used sanded down Silver compound Ellipses, F2 bodies and Carpet | Astro High-Clearance 7″ Rear Wings.
His bro Chase also competed in the 17.5 Expert 2wd Buggy class and finished in 2nd place! He also competed in 13.5 Stadium Truck and took the TQ and win!
Our final report comes from Denmark driver Jesper Rasmussen. He just wrapped up competing at the first rounds of Danish Championship and reports that he took the TQ and win in the Mod 2wd Buggy class! He used a P2K body along with an Aero wing package and a Black Fin Turnbuckle Set.
