A new month is upon us but the racing results stay the same as the JConcepts race team continues to dominate out on the track! Read about our winning ways in this week’s Race Team Update!
We start this week’s report down in Savannah, GA where Phil Hurd Raceway is located. They were host to the 2021 Georgia State Championship which saw 138 entries competing in 10 different classes! The race was cut short due to bad weather, but that didn’t keep the JConcepts team away as they were out in full force! So let’s get some updates from the team starting with team driver Chris VanRaemdonck.
Chris reported that he competed in three different classes:
- 1/8 Pro Nitro Buggy
- 1/8 Pro Electric Buggy
- 1/8 Nitro Truggy
For this event he would finish up 8th in nitro buggy, 6th in e buggy and 4th in nitro truggy! He used the A2 compound on all of his cars along with S15 bodies and F2I wings. Joining him on the nitro truggy podium were JC mates Adam Drake (1st) and Kawri Brown (5th)!
Teammate David Olsen was also at this event and would finish 5th in 1/8 Electric Buggy and 3rd in 1/8 Pro Nitro Buggy! He used our Reflex tires in the A2 compound on both cars. Joining him on the pro nitro buggy podium was teammate Adam Drake in 2nd!
JC driver Johnny Hodges reported that he captured the final podium spot by finishing 5th in the 1/8 Sportsman Nitro Buggy class! He used Stalkers in the R2 compound for the main and joining him on the podium in 3rd was teammate Michael Kuntz!
JConcepts driver Mark Moon let us know that he took the TQ and win in the 40+ 1/8 Electric Buggy class too!
Now we head to Huntsville, AL where RC3 (Rocket City Radio Controlled Race Club) is located. They were host to Round 14 of the Snap Hard Race League and our driver Jason Westfall was in attendance.
He said he competed in two classes at this event and finished 3rd in Mod 2wd Buggy while running Blue compound Sprinters in the rear, Rips in the front plus a F2 body! Joining him on the podium in 2nd place was JC teammate Randy Enger!
Next, we shoot over to Texas for some updates from the JCon team competing at several events throughout the state. Our first update comes to us from San Antonio where Oatesified Off-Road RC Raceway is located.
They recently hosted Round 2 of the RC Pro South and our driver Tyler Hooks let us know that he finished 3rd in 1/8 Electric Buggy and 2nd in 1/8 Electric Truggy! His e buggy used Blue compound Kosmos tires while his trug used Reflex tires in the same compound.
Also competing at this event was teammate Dillon Caldwell. He competed in the 1/8 Pro Nitro Buggy class and walked away with the W that day! He used Blue compound Stalkers in his win.
Staying in state our next trip is over to Wild Bill’s Raceway in Irving. Friday night our driver Randy Lathrop competed in the 10.5 Sprint class and took the win while running on Green compound Ellipses in the rear, Dirt Webs up front and all mounted to 9 Shot wheels! Joining him on the podium in 2nd place was JConcepts driver Quincy Hughes!
Then on Saturday night they held their special 2021 Allstar Street Stock Shootout. Our driver Kevin Lenderman competed in this special race and finished 3rd overall while running on Mono wheels and Green compound Dirt Webs and Ellipses. He also ran in the Wingless Sprint class and he would take the win in the main! Joining him on the podium in 2nd was teammate Scooter Etheredge!
Now we circle back to Dayton, VA where The Titlyard is located. Our driver Kyle Chasen recently went there to attend the Sherri Memorial Race and would finish 3rd overall in the 1/8 Nitro Truggy class! He used Blue compound Reflex tires, a F2I wing, the RM2 Bridge 1/8th Wing Button and a F2 body.

We now rocket over to Reeseville, WI where Clark RC Park is situated. They recently held another round of their Blackjack Summer Series which saw over 130 entries! Our driver Jarret Smith competed at this recent round after taking most of the summer off from racing, and he missed his goal of making the A Main, but he still had a great time while running on Green compound Reflex tires!
Flying out to Washington let’s get a few updates from the team starting with team driver Andrew Beauchamp. He recently competed at DieHard RC in Snohomish for their Labor Day event and took 3rd place in 1/8 Electric Buggy and the TQ and win in 1/8 Nitro Buggy!
And JC driver David Adams reported that he attended a recent drag race in Northwest Washington and took home 1st place at the NW NPRC Outlaws cash days!
Now let’s get a few updates from our intentional team starting with team driver Kevin Lachapelle. He recently traveled to the city of Saguenay in Quebec, Canada for Round 3 of the Quebec RC Series.
He competed in the 1/8 Nitro and Mod 4wd Buggy classes and he didn’t have the best of luck in nitro buggy, but he finished 3rd overall in wheeler! He used Blue compound Sprinters, a F2 shell and a Carpet | Astro High-Clearance 7″ Rear Wing.
Teammate Steve Seguin also competed at this event in both the 1/8 Electric Buggy and Truggy classes. In buggy he would finish 8th overall and in truggy he locked up 3rd place! Both vehicles utilized our Green compound Reflex tires.
Team driver Olivier Raposo also ran at this event in both the 1/8 Nitro Buggy and Truggy classes. In buggy he set the TQ and finished 2nd overall while running Blue compound Blockers and a S15 body! In the truggy class he would set the TQ and take the win while running fast on Blue compound Reflex tires and a Finnisher shell! Joining him on the truggy podium in 2nd place was teammate Eric Deschenes!
Our final report comes from team driver Aaron Dexter. He and his father traveled 4000km to Alice Springs RC Club located in the town of Alice Springs in Australia’s Northern Territory. They were host to the Northern Territory Championships on a large track layout that was very technical and fast laps were in the 48 second range.
