It’s arguably the most wonderful time of the year in the North East with the true fall weather coming in, the leaves changing, and flannel in full effect. One of the best places to experience the fall season is in the quaint town of Winchester located in the Shenandoah Valley. Here you’ll find an RC gem known as Adrenaline RC Racing! We flew out for the 5th Annual Adrenaline RC Invitational presented by JConcepts!

The facility is composed of two buildings. One building contains the hobby-shop/pit space and the other is the indoor track. On top of that their facility features an elaborate outdoor rock crawling course and drag strip. One of the nice amenities of this event as well was that the track catered lunch both days (as part of your entry fee) making it easy to have great food trackside! One unique race that has become a tradition is the relay race. The relay race consists of several teams all composed of an E-Buggy, 4×4 Short Course, and 1:10 4wd Buggy. Each driver must complete 10 laps. Whichever team gets through all 3 classes first wins! The winning team gets their names engraved on the giant Stanley Cup style trophy.

The Pro E-Buggy class had several really fast drivers that made for great battles all weekend. In Pro E-Buggy we had Lee Setser, Jacob Hardison, Ethan Mackanick, Buzzy Wright, Ryan Harris, Javon Mallory. Lee Setser had an incredible race day as he was the only drive to have sub 20 second lap times. He was able to consistently and cleanly utilize the fastest line around the track. Jacob Hardison and Ethan Mackanick were battling it out in both A1 & A2. Hardison took 2nd in A1 but Mackanick was ruthless in A2 and was able to take 2nd. It came down to hundredths of a second in the tie breaker, in which Hardison took 2nd. The hot lap of this new track layout was set by Setser in A2 which was 19.4. Check out A1 below:
Nitro Buggy: Lee Setser (1)
Setser came back better than ever in the Nitro Buggy A-Main taking the win this year! The 25 minute main started with a close battle between Setser and Ryan Harris. Harris was in the lead for a couple of laps before his car had an unfortunate break and Setser was flying. Then Javon Mallory moved up into the 2nd place position and held strong for close to 45 laps before he had a very similar break to Harris. Setser on cruise control just had to keep it clean and smooth all the way to the finish!
40+ E-Buggy: Joe Bell (3)

4wd Mod Buggy: Jacob Hardison (1), Javon Mallory (2)
