Take time from your busy holiday season to see what is new from the JC crew in this new edition of the JConcepts Product Rewind!
Kicking off the Fall edition of the Product Rewind are some new kicks for your drag vehicle. These new treads are sure to be a hit with hardcore RC Drag racers and bashers alike. These tires use the familiar 2.2″ x 3.0” design dimensions but have been stretched out to create a larger footprint. The larger footprint fits perfectly onto our Mambos wheels and the wider contact patch should offer you more stability.
The tire design uses a directional pattern so each tire is marked with a L and R to make sure you get pointed in the right direction when mounting them. The tread pattern itself uses low-profile, carved areas that make them perfect to tackle surfaces with dirt and debris. Under normal use a drag tire will expand under heavy acceleration so the entire carcass was thickened and sidewall ribbing was added to both the inside and outside of the Dotek.
An industry first waffle inner weight reduction pattern has also been introduced that accomplishes two goals. The first is weight reduction and the second is to restrict expansion. So this will give drivers another option if they don’t want to use heavier belted tires or tires with no inner structure. Other features included raised lettering on the outside diameter of the tire, black colored Dirt-Tech foam inserts are included and they are available in our Green and Gold compounds.
Mambos Drag Racing Rear Tire Now Available In Green And Gold Compounds
Our popular Mambos drag racing tires are now available in two new compound options. The Green compound gives you a super soft feel with a high expansion rate, and it is recommended for cooler temperatures under 75 degrees.
The Gold compound has a soft feel with a medium expansion rate which works better in temperatures above 90 degrees or if the surface is highly prepped. And the Mambos are still available in our original Blue compound which also has a soft feel with a medium to high expansion rate and works best with temperatures below 90 degrees.
All of these tires still features the same 2.2 x 3.0″ dimensions with a contact patch that has been widened to gain more rear grip. The entire carcass was thickened and they use an unique waffle inner weight reduction pattern that will both reduce the weight and provide more resistance to the expansion of the tire. Each set also includes our closed cell Dirt-Tech inserts.
Finish Line Quick Access Nitro Pit Bag
This next item is sure to be a hit with nitro racers and bashers everywhere! The new JConcepts Finish Line Quick Access Nitro Pit Bag features our current Finish Line livery with an embroidered JConcepts Racing Team logo on one side. Resting behind the logo is a large open area for you to store items like a starter box and more.
On the flip side there is a business card/identification holder, plus two blue colored pockets with black cinch strings. These can be used to quickly secure your fuel bottles when heading to or from the track. That side also features a multitude of smaller pockets lining the inside, plus three larger pockets on the outer shell of the bag. The bag can quickly be moved thanks to the integrated foam wrapped metal handle, and its design let’s you store it flat when not in use.
Next, we released some new Class 2 performance scaler tires for rock crawling fans.
Starting with the Hunk tires these new treads use the industry standard bead mounting diameter of 1.9″ so they are compatible with several wheels already out on the market today. In the center of this new tread pattern are intertwined larger lugs that are U-shaped and have key areas removed to help them grip more in slippery conditions.
It also uses alternating rows of outer treads that will produce a paddle like effect, and its overall size is 4.75″ without an insert. Small openings were added to the radial sidewall ribs for more traction and stability. Also on the sidewall are old western style JConcepts lettering with a visible part number, overall tire sizing and hatch marks near the bead area.
The Hunk is available in our Super Soft, Green compound and also includes our medium firmness open cell inserts.
The other new tire is called the Tusk and it features a V-shaped lugs with multiple steps to the side for additional grip in the center of the tread pattern. Large, staggered traction bars were added to the sides to continue the V-shape pattern too. The shorter versions of these traction bars work in conjunction with the center lug, while the longer version helps to fill a void underneath and then meet up with the center of the tire.
All of the traction bars used in this design feature relieved cuts and slots on the top to break up the flat surfaces and increase grip on various surfaces. Highly detailed sidewall lettering is used for product naming, sizing and identification purposes.
This tire also 4.75″ in its overall size without an insert and is available in our Super Soft, Green compound. Medium firmness open cell inserts are also included and this tire will fit a variety of 1.9″ wheels on the market currently.
Mono 2.2″ Front Wheels For The TLR 22X-4, B74.1 & XRAY XB4
These new wheels are a direct fit for the TLR 22X-4, B74.1 and XRAY XB4 4wd buggies. They are 2.2″ in size and are the maximum size that is allowed per ROAR rules.
They have a slight convex dish shaped design and are available in both bright white and fluorescent yellow (all though we all know white wheels are faster 🙂 ). Each wheel also has vent holes and a small JC logo for brand identification and authenticity.
A glue catch design has also been molded into the outer face of the wheel. This will help keep excess glue from trickling down the face of the wheel when you mount them.
Super Dish Front & Rear 2.2″ Wheels For The Traxxas Rustler & Stampede
We then released some new rims for the Traxxas Rustler and Stampede that feature a distinct 90’s styling. These new rims are injection molded in durable materials which will hold up to bash sessions and racing action on the track. The 2.2″ bead area comes pre-scuffed so that glue will adhere to this area better when mounting tires.
The wheels also have two vent holes and some recessed areas to cut down on the rotational mass. On the back side you will find and industry standard recessed 12mm hex area and these 2.2″ Super Dish wheels will fit a variety of stadium truck wheels already out on the market.
Each package includes four wheels, but do note that the front and rear wheels are sold separately. Currently we offer two color options, bright white or gloss black.
F2 Truck Body Mount Adaptors For The HB D8T Evo 3 & Tekno NT48 2.0
Carbon fiber mount adaptors for the HB D8T Evo 3 & Tekno NT48 2.0 are now available for our new F2 clear truck body!
Each adaptor is CNC precision machined from genuine carbon fiber material. Each adaptor also includes 3mm hardware, but additionally you will also need either the Team Associated #81447 or Mugen #MUGE2148 (for MBX8T) body mounts to place the front of the body in the correct position.
Once you have the correct body mount and carbon fiber adapters (see our website for installation details) you can use the hardware that come with the mounts to bolt them to the front shock tower.
Replacement Body Nose Piece For The F2 Truck Body
We now also provide a replacement nosepiece for the F2 body as well. Since this item rests ahead of the front shock tower it can take a lot of abuse out on the track. So instead of picking up a new body you can simply order up one of these replacement nosepieces instead. One is included per package and it has a protective overspray film applied to it so you can add your custom paint scheme easily.
ReHab 1/8 Buggy Tires Now Available In Silver Compound
Our popular ReHab tires are now available in our super soft Silver compound! These tires also still feature our unique design which uses a center structure which has medium sized, dense lugs arranged in a stacked configuration. Those lugs have cuts and grooves added to them in a strategic pattern to give you more flex in dusty conditions.
The outer portion of the tread design uses shapes that nest together to allow for lateral flex for more side-bite. Each sets of ReHabs also include our Dirt-Tech foam inserts and they also use a 83mm bead mounting size.
S2 Clear Body For The Schumacher Cougar LD2
JConcepts now offers their popular S2 body design for the Schumacher Cougar LD2 2wd Buggy. This new shell features a progressive cab design to give you ample front end force for better balance and steering. The channeled roof will direct the air flow through the center of the body, plus it reinforces the cockpit area too so you can achieve more longevity with this body.
Upper side pods are located on each side of the body, and they give you the option to increase the air flow to your electronics if you opt to remove them. Each body is also sold with two Carpet | Turf rear wings, a decal sheet and window masks for your custom paint job.
2018 Ford Mustang (Cobra Jet) Clear Body
JConcepts then released another body that is sure to be a hit with the drag racing community. The new Cobra jet body comes clear and will fit popular vehicles like the DR10, 22S, Drag Slash, or any other chassis that is compatible with a body that is 11″ wide and a 13″ wheelbase.
The new shell will be in high demand with with racers thanks to features like a built-in front scoop that is synonymous with the Cobra Jet. A large front windshield and split side-windows are also proportional to the overall look of this body.
The rear window carries back to the rear deck that can be driven as stock with no wing, or a driver can opt to install the included rear wing for more downforce in the back.
A detailed decal sheet is also included which is printed in gold, black and white to perfectly resemble the 2018 Mustang shown during the 50th Anniversary Ford Performance Cobra Jet reunion. Miscellaneous Ford, Performance, and light markers along with JConcepts logos are also included. Each body also includes an overspray film and window masks for your favorite paint scheme.
Finnisher Titanium Valve Stem Cover
JConcepts continues to release more option items for your full size vehicle. These new value stem covers are machined from titanium materials and anodized in black. These thimble shaped value stem covers also use the recognizable Finnisher relief cuts that are commonly found in other JConcept products.
The design also features open sections to enhance its final appearance and four covers are included in each package. These are compatible with a large assortment of vehicles and can be easily install by hand.
Knobs & Launch Monster Truck Tires
Next, we released some new tire options for monster truck enthusiasts. Starting with the Knobs, these can be used in both the front and rear of a vehicle, and measure in at 5.80″ x 4.0″ x 2.6” each. They are currently available in our Blue (Soft) and Gold (Medium) compounds and each pair also includes our React open cell inserts.
The Blue compound is best suited for grass, dirt, and asphalt racing surfaces. The Gold compound works best for carpet, AstroTurf, and polished concrete surfaces.
Modeled after full scale tires, the Knobs use irregular diamond shaped knobs which have step and overlapping features built into the design. The tire carcass profile is also low and lightweight which will make them ideal for racing conditions. Retro looking tire lettering has been applied to the sidewalls, and they also fit our popular Tribute MT wheels which are available in black, white, silver, and yellow.
Also released at the same time were our Launch tires. They are also compatible with our Tribute MT wheels and available in either our Blue or Gold compounds. They use the same dimensions of the Knobs, and also use a lightweight, low profile design which makes them desirable for the racing community.
The tread pattern itself is also replicated from full size tires used in monster truck events. A V-cut thread design was introduced that also uses an exposed upper lip. Elements were removed from this lip to aid it in gripping the track surface when rotating. They will excel in dirt or asphalt conditions due to the spaced edging of the pins that provide more forward drive.
Staggered ribs near the top of the sidewall add some “burnout” territory for doing donuts, and hard sliding while the notched or staggered pattern helps provide some support for hard turns. These can be used in both the front or rear, and the sidewalls feature authentic tire lettering with retro JConcepts logo. They are sold in packages of two and also include our React open cell inserts.
Hazard 1.9″ Aluminum Beadlock Wheels & Brass Weights
Each package includes four wheels to equip an entire vehicle, and these new rims are comprised of three main components. The inner and outer sections are made from machined aluminum, and the black center beadlocker is injection molded.
The outer ring provides that scale look for the wheels and when you flip it over you will see the built-in industry standard 12mm hex area. The inner ring uses the same finished look and has five different mounting holes for the assembly process. The center beadlocker also features the ability to hold the included brass weights.
Each set of Hazard wheels includes 16 brass weights that weigh approximately 17gm each. Four weights can be installed onto each center beadlocker using the small black set screws. Simply lay the weight into place and then tread the set screw into the center beadlocker with the included small Allen wrench. So, depending on your setup you can run one, two, three or four weights per wheel. Once you have your desired weights installed you will need to grab the center beadlocker, both rings, the tire of choice, and five of the silver colored M2 x 6 screws.
Now available are these 5.5 x 6mm Titanium Ball-Studs from JConcepts. Sold in packages of four, these ball-studs will fit popular Team Associated vehicles like the B6.x, T6.x, SC6.x as well as the DR10.
They are also compatible with our Regulator behind axle steering assembly. Previously, the kit included heavy, steel ball-studs so now drivers can opt to use these lighter and more durable ball-studs, and they can be easily installed with a 2mm wrench.
Warrior Clear Body For The ARRMA Typhon
This new lid from JConcepts will fit the ARRMA Typhon 1/8 buggy, but it is also compatible with the TLR Tuned Typhon variation too.
The body uses some unique design features lime a front split window, and a roll-cage designed cab for those eventually upside down pancake landings.
Rear upper pods have been blended into the rear section of the body that tapers down to the rear shock tower area. 
Side-pods have also been added to the body and are tall enough that they should be compatible with numerous batter packs on the market. Bashers and racers alike will dig this body too since you can trim out the side and rear pods for more ventilation to help keep your electronics cool. Each body is sold clear and also includes an overspray film, window masks, and a JConcepts decal sheet.
1/10 & 1/8 Buggy Tire Inner Sidewall Support Adaptors
Next up were some more tire tuning options for 1/10 and 1/8 buggy racers who are looking for more sidewall support. Each package of either the 1/10 or 1/8 adaptors includes four of these “rings”.
The “rings” are crafted from rubber material which will make them easy to bond with tire glue. Sections have been cut away to reduce their overall rotating mass, but yet they are still strong enough for racing conditions.
During high traction, or loaded conditions, tire sidewall deflection causes your car to oversteer which can lead to inconsistency on lap times since your car is harder to drive. By adding the inner sidewall support adaptor and gluing it into place, the sidewall effectively becomes much harder and allows a driver to enter smoother arcs and radius turns on the race track.
Already used in competition, the sidewall support pieces have shown to work on glued, sealed, or naturally grippy surfaces where traction rolling or oversteer is an issue. In addition, when conditions are rough, bumpy or dusty, the additional support drives smoother and with more consistency. One thing to note is that the 1/10 Buggy Tire Inner Sidewall Support Adaptors were designed to be used in dirt tires, not the carpet tires we offer. They might work in carpet tires and those track conditions, but you might have to modify the “rings” so they seat inside the tires properly.
Brass Option Parts For The Regulator Conversion Kit
Regulator Brass Chassis Stackable Weight
We followed that up with some new brass options parts for the JConcepts Regulator chassis. Starting with the Regulator Brass Chassis Stackable Weight this machined brass unit can be installed on the bottom of the chassis to add more weight to the lowest spot on the vehicle. Its design also allows you to stack more than one of these weights if needed for your truck’s setup.
Weight added to the chassis area on a retro monster truck can improve suspension performance by increasing the sprung weight. This allows for better jump handling and landing, plus the ability to plant the tires into the racing surface via front to rear weight transfer. Each package includes one weight and to stack multiple weights together you will need to provide your own hardware.
Regulator Brass Horizonal Chassis Member
The JConcepts Regulator chassis conversion kit comes standard with machined aluminum front and rear horizontal chassis members. The new Regulator Brass Horizonal Chassis Members can replace those kit parts when additional chassis weight is needed at either end.
By adding additional weight you increase the sprung weight on the Regulator which will make for better jump handling and landings. It will also help to plant the tires into the racing surface via front to rear weight transfer. Each package includes two weights and they can be quickly and easily installed into your monster truck.
Regulator Brass Chassis Brace Tube
The final option part was the Regulator Brass Chassis Brace Tubes. Four tubes are included in each package and they are crafted from precision machined brass materials. These tubes can quickly be installed between the chassis rails when you need to fine tune your truck for track conditions. For example, if your truck wheelies too much on the start you can add additional weight to the front end. Or, if you are needing more rear grip, install them into the rear.
The holidays usually mean new kits and projects builds to work on, and the JConcepts team has you covered with the newest release under the RM2 product line. The RM2 Blue Thread Lock Adhesive is designed to keep your metal components secure when out on the track, hitting top speeds in the parking lot or sending it at the local skate park. Just add a liberal amount to your screws, then make sure it is spread out evenly and then finally install the screws into your vehicle. The bottle comes with a secure lid too so that you can safely transport it without leaking inside your toolbox as well.
Mono Front & Rear Wheels For The Team Associated RC10T, T2, T3 & GT
JConcepts continues to support the vintage RC community with these new wheels for popular retro Team Associated trucks. Our Mono truck wheel has been redesigned to fit these vehicles of old while also keeping some of our modern features.
Starting the with the front Mono wheels, these use the original offset and are 2.2″ in size. They also feature the iconic dish shape of the original wheels and will utilize the non-flanged 3/16 x 3/8” bearing. Each wheel includes a vent hole on the outer diameter, and an outer lip will help to reduce the amount of glue that can run down the face of the wheel as it cures.
The rear wheels are also 2.2″ in size and use the same iconic dish shape, but these wheels are designed to use the pin drive setup for 3/16” axles that was popular until the release of the RC10T4.2. They also feature the venting holes and the outer lip that will aid you in the gluing process.
Both front and rear wheels are available in bright white and fluorescent racing yellow and four wheels are included in each package.
Pre-Trimmed 6.5″ & 7″ Carpet, Turf & Dirt Wings
JConcepts hit the easy button for racers with these next few releases they were released in late 2021. Starting in the rear, these new high-clearance pre-trimmed wings are available in ether 6.5″ or 7″ variations and they both incorporate a short-chord design for quicker rotations.
They also feature a flat-base which will provide your vehicle enough clearance for the rear tires too. These wings are durable and will stand up to normal abuse they see on multiple track surfaces like carpet, Astroturf and high-traction dirt.
The rear corners have also been chopped to increase their rigidity, and a traditional lower-level gurney is configurable for even less drag over large jumps. Radius cut-outs have added to the side-dams and these wings are direct bolt on pieces for both 1/10 2wd and 4wd off-road buggies.
Pre-Mounted Fuzz Bite LP Rear Tires On Mono Wheels
To get your buggy onto the carpet faster we now offer our Fuzz Bite LP rear tires pre-mounted to our proven Mono wheels. These will fit the rear of either 2wd or 4wd buggies and there are two versions available since you can choose between white or yellow Mono wheels. Both versions come with our proven Fuzz Bite tires that use a low profile carcass layout that was carried over from the popular Twin Pins design. This lower profile will help to gain a more rapid transition at high speeds and reduce side-wall deflections and rolls.
This tread pattern features a reverse “water tower” design which plants a larger base at the bottom and narrows at the top for more precision. The pins are placed in a radius pattern which will give you traction on multiple surfaces like office carpet or high grip CRC carpeting. Alternating rows of pins provide side-bite and help to aid your vehicle in forward traction. Another unique feature on these tires are the scalloped tire bead. The tips of the tire bead touch off on the inner beads of the wheels which reduces the rotational weight on your vehicle.
Pre-Mounted Fuzz Bite LP Front 2WD Tires On Mono Wheels
We also now offer our front Fuzz Bite LP tires as pre-mounts too! Again, you can pick these up on either white or yellow Mono wheels, and they use the same features like a low profile carcass layout, a reverse “water tower” pin shape design and a radius positioned pin arrangement.
The rear tires come standard with plush, open cell inserts, but the front tires don’t require any inserts at all. And both of these tires can still be purchased by themselves if you want to mount your own rubber to the rims.
Pre-Mounted Pin Swag Rear Tires On Mono Wheels
The final ‘easy button’ release of 2021 were these pre-mounted rear Pin Swag tires. Just like our other pre-mounted tires, these are available with either white or yellow Mono wheels. Both versions include our proven rear Pin Swag tires that will work for either 2wd or 4wd off-road buggies. The tire design features pins in the center with outer rows of Swag near the sidewalls.
If you take a closer look at this design you will that the Swag is split down the center to give it the ability to contort to surfaces. In between, a stagger section with angular front is placed just behind a vertical rib to complete the design. This tire also uses our scalloped tire bead which reduces the weight and each set is stuffed with our plush, open cell inserts. These tires are also available separately if you feel inclined to glue them yourself too.
JConcepts then released some more sought after items for vintage Team Associated truck enthusiasts. Starting up front with the Front Nose Piece, this aluminum part is anodized in a black finish and is a perfect fit for the RC10T, RC10T2 and RC10GT.
This item comes pre-bent, drilled and tapped so you can bolt it directly onto a new build or if you need to freshen up that old shelf queen.
This item also includes two front holes to mount the original bumper as it was used in the 1990 Team Associated stadium truck kits as well.
Next, the RC10T Aluminum Steering Bellcranks were released. These aluminum parts are anodized in black, and are designed in such a way that a servo saver is no longer needed. The aluminum parts also use silver chamfered highlighting, and laser-etched JC logos have been added for brand authenticity.
Each package also includes heavy-duty flanged bearings and threaded aluminum steering posts, and after installing them into your truck you should feel the better steering responsiveness and rigidity.
The final vintage item was the Diamond Nose Brace Tubes for the RC10T, RC10T2 and RC10GT. Two tubes are included in each pack, and the silver aluminum tubes feature a black anodized diamond pattern.
The tubes also use a high-gloss finish and will bolt directly to your truck thanks to the threaded 4-40 holes.
The final big release of 2021 was actually for some of the smallest vehicles out on the market. The new Mini Aero Car Stand is the perfect pit piece for popular vehicles like the Losi Mini-T or Mini-B.
This stand is crafted from durable material and uses a black matte finish. The design incorporates two top load pockets that can be used to hold body clips, wheels nuts or anything else that you need to secure inside of them.
On the outer edges the design features a ‘V’ step-down pattern that blends into a rail-like border that runs around the entire stand. Four triangle cushion pads and a “Forward pursuit” themed decal wrap are also included and will need to be installed to complete the final look of this piece.
