In this edition of the JConcepts Friday5 we talk to Canada team driver, Brian Ross!
1. How did you first hear about racing RC cars? And what classes did you compete in?
I first heard of it when my parents were trying to find be a birthday gift. I started to compete in 2wd buggy.
2. In your opinion, what classes have you noticed that seem to be in a decline? And how would you try to resolve this so there is more participation?
I think that 1/8 E Truggy is a class which seems to be in decline. To resolve this, I think that we should promote the class. It is a class which can be easy when you start in 1/8 racing.
3. If you had to guess where the 1/10 off-road electric scene is ten years from now, would you expect to see more dirt, carpet, or turf tracks and why?
I would expect to see more dirt tracks because the carpet is usually really expensive and can be easily broken by the wings.
4. Name one JConcepts product that you feel is overlooked by many but you find it very useful. It could be a tool, tread pattern, wing, etc.
I think that the JConcepts ride height gauge is a great tool. It is really easy to use and it looks great.
5. Name one thing people might be surprised to know about you.
People might be surprised to know that 13 is my father’s and I’s lucky number so I have a little 13 sticker under every 1/8 wing.
