Two full weeks of racing are now in the books in July, and the JConcepts race team continues to fly high with numerous wins around the world! Read about our winning ways in this new installment of the Race Team Update!
We start this week’s report ‘down under’ as our Australian team was putting in work at the recent 1/10 Off-Road Queensland State Titles held at the Chargers RC club in Brisbane, Australia. This location uses a special surface called SIC which is commonly found on BMX tracks. It is very abrasive on tires, but it does give a driver high traction conditions. All drivers were required to use a control tire to eliminate that part of the racing equation, and let’s see how the team finished up starting with JC driver Andrew Selvaggi.
He reports that he took the TQ and win in the 13.5 4wd Buggy class while using the following products!
- Mono wheels
- S2 body in the lightweight option
- Carpet | Astro High-Clearance 7″ Rear Wing

- Black Fin Titanium Turnbuckle Set
Also competing at this event was his teammate Jarod Ment. He competed in three different classes and finished 4th in Mod 4wd Buggy, 3rd in Mod 2wd Buggy and took the TQ and W in Mod Stadium Truck! Joining him on the 4wd Buggy podium in 3rd place was his JC mate Lachlan Munday!
JConcepts driver Lachlan Donnelly also competed in these same two classes. In Mod 4wd Buggy he had some bad luck in qualifying as he he couldn’t finish two of his qualifiers, so by the time the mains rolled around he wasn’t able to contend for a podium spot. But, he had better luck in the Mod 2wd Buggy class as he battled his way to a 2nd place finish! For the event he used the following gear:
- Aqua compound Dirt Webs up front on his 2wd car
