The Mugen Challenge is a staple event for LCRC Raceway every year and this year was no different. JConcepts was a primary sponsor of the event with trackside support and some event coverage. 489 entries invaded the facility for a top notch well run program that was unfortunately cut short by our friend Mother Nature.
Regardless, racers completed their two rounds of qualifying and the overall winners were determined by best single qual point.

JConcept’s Adam Drake hosted a clinic Thursday on driving and mechanic techniques. Racers of all ages took part getting some track time and learning from the legend. Adam would also take part in the 100 lap Nitro Late Model main event Friday night (with the epic pit work of Tyler Hooks) but would fall just short of the win to Cowboy Risser. Stay tuned for a new product release for our nitro and electric late model racers!
JConcepts drivers utilized both Green and Blue compounds in practice and qualifying with the most popular tread patterns being Reflex and Stalkers. Insert bands were even used at times to bridge the gap between the two compounds to great success.
Ultimately an awesome weekend was had with great food vendors, awesome racing, an epic Friday party with Corn Hole and Dirt Oval Racing, and an incredibly well stocked and organized hobby shop full of all the most popular JConcepts products!
Congratulations to all of our drivers that participated and participated at the nationals across the nation, good luck to everyone attending the World Championships in 2 weeks!
