JConcepts 2024 1/8th Florida RC Championships Series R2 Report

The JConcepts Florida crew headed out to Sundancers RC Raceway this past weekend for the 2nd round of the 2024 Florida RC Championship Series. This event, much like the first round was sold out in a matter of minutes with the best of the best in Florida and some of the surrounding states in attendance.

Friday practice would have some of the best Florida weather we have seen in a while. Mother Nature tried to throw a wrench in the weekend Friday night with a pretty substantial amount of rain. The Sundancers track crew was prepared and by 11:30 Saturday we were ready for a little practice and to get back to racing. 281 entries hung around and it was time for qualifying.

Track conditions changed dramatically throughout the one qualifying round and the following JConcepts drivers found success in the tricky conditions.

Pro Buggy: 1st Julien Oliveras (JC), 2nd Tyler Hooks (JC), 4th Sean Krause (JC Privateer), 5th Brett Kingsbury (JC)
Pro Ebuggy: 1st Julien Oliveras (JC), 2nd Tyler Hooks (JC), 4th Brett Kingsbury (JC), 5th Patrick Rossiter (JC)
Pro Truggy: 4th Jonathan Hernandez
40+ Nitro Buggy: 1st Jader Lopez (JC)
40+ Ebuggy: 3rd AJay Johnson (JC)
Open Truggy: 4th Kawri Brown (JC)
Open Etruggy: 2nd Nelson Garcia (JC)
4wd SC: Gene Shrout Jr. (JC)

All of the A-Main events would be run under the lights but the groove stuck around all night giving good traction and a fairly wide run line with a little dust. Oliveras and Hooks opted for Silver Compound Rehabs with most other drivers sticking with green compound. The team had the following main event results:
