Race Team Update – May 2024 Week #1

The JConcepts race team keeps their winning momentum moving forward into the month of May with another solid weekend of racing. Read about our continued success in this week’s Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report down in Coral Springs, FL where the Coral Springs RC Track is located. They hosted Round 4 of the 1/10 Florida RC Championships, and team driver Patrick Rossiter Jr. took the TQ and win in the 13.5 Short Course Truck class, plus picked up another win in the 13.5 4wd Buggy!

Staying in the state we now head to the Epic RC Racing Complex in New Port Richey for this quick update from team driver Trent Walker. He competed at this track over the weekend for their Cinco De Mayo trophy event, and he would end up taking the TQ and W in the 1/8 Nitro Buggy class, plus he received a cash purse of $100 along with a gift certificate valued at $160!

Moving over to Mississippi we stop in at Magee where Saratoga-Flowood RC Raceway is located at. JConcepts driver William Ables competed in their Family Reunion trophy race and signed up for the 1/8 Electric Buggy and Truggy classes, plus 1/8 Nitro Truggy. He would finish 2nd in e truggy, take the win after starting dead last in nitro truggy and he set the TQ and crossed the finish line first in e buggy!

Kicking it up north to Kentucky let’s stop in at Maysville to see how team driver Lukas Klein finished at the recent 2024 Beat The Creek event that took place there. He competed in the Shootout event and would have the fastest time to finish 1st overall for the 3rd year in a row!

Next, let’s make a diagonal to Waldwick, NJ where Cruizin with RC’s is located. There we find team driver Andrew Sreckovich who visited this track to compete in their Spring Shootout event. When the race was over he would finish 3rd in 17.5 2wd Buggy and 2nd place in 13.5 4wd Buggy!

Heading west we now stop in at LCRC Raceway in Oakland Mills, PA for this brief update from JC pilot Matt Adams. Over the weekend he competed in their Prelude To The Dream race, and he would take the TQ and win in the 360 Sprint class!

Hauling it over to the “Hoosier state” let’s see how the team finished up at Round 1 of the HORCRS (Hoosier Off-Road RC Series) that took place at VCRC Raceway in Terre Haute.

Starting with team driver Ben Ellis he let us know that set the TQ in both the 1/8 Electric Buggy and Truggy classes! After the mains were ran he would finish 3rd in e buggy and he also took the victory in the e truggy class!

Also competing in this opening round was his tire teammate Charles Hicks. He would race on to finish 2nd in 1/8 Nitro Buggy and he also picked up the W in the e buggy class!

Now let’s fly out west to sunny California for this quick update from team driver Jay Wedsted. Over the weekend he went to Sacramento to compete at the Racers Den for Round 2 of their Summer Series. He competed in the Intermediate 17.5 2wd Buggy class and would take home the TQ and win!

Heading over to 2CRC Raceway in Nampa, ID we find team driver Shane Wheeler. This past weekend he competed in their 1st Annual Margarita Bowl in the 13.5 Sprint and Late Model classes.

He would finish 2nd overall in the Late Model class, plus he picked up the win in the Sprint class!

Heading back west to Oregon let’s catch up with JC driver Joseph Levin. This past weekend he attended the Vision Racing Invitational at PDX RC Underground in Portland to compete in the 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes. He would end the event by picking up wins in both classes, plus he took home the overall Stock Invite award too!

Now let’s get some updates from our International team starting with JConcepts driver Paul Parks. This past weekend he attended the Big Barn Shootout in Chilliwack, British Columbia, and he would finish the race with a 5th place finish in 1/8 Electric Buggy, a 3rd place finish in 40+ 1/8 Nitro Buggy along with a 2nd place finish in Mod 4wd Buggy!

Our final report this week comes to us courtesy of team driver Clément Boda. This past weekend he attended the 3rd round of the French TT 1/10 Electric Championship, and when the race had concluded he would take the double win in the Mod 2wd and 4wd Buggy classes!
