2024 JConcepts Summer Dirt Oval Nationals Team Report

This past weekend the JConcepts Dirt Oval Nationals series headed to Auburn RC in Northern California for the Summer Dirt Oval Nationals event. Auburn is one of the fastest, largest, and smoothest dirt oval tracks in the nation and the crew didn’t disappoint.

In the last 365 days the team at Auburn upgraded the track, re-painted the facility, and upgraded the on-site pro shop. The 111 entries were treated to fantastic accommodations. It was also a fantastic weekend for the announcement of the new JConcepts Swiper 2.2″ Buggy based class tires as well as the L8 Night G3 Speedway Body!

Friday practice showed that this would be a record breaking weekend with multiple classes resetting hot lap records for the track. Moving into Saturday, Auburn RC implemented a new, fun, qualifying session for the sprint car classes which would be used just for seeding purposes. sprint cars went out one at a time for 2 laps with the fastest laps setting the seeding order. Top of the charts for the 3 sprint car classes end up as shown below!

Qualifying was the standard rocket round format spread across 2 qualifying rounds. The following drivers found success for JConcepts:

Moving into the Main Events, the track was fast for night time under the lights action! Drivers had some fantastic battles for bump spots and the main events didn’t disappoint!
