Friday5 With Team Driver Hunter King

In this edition of the JConcepts Friday5 we talk to Florida team driver, Hunter King!

1. How did you first hear about RC car racing? Once you got started what class did you participate in to begin with and why?

My dad flew RC airplanes. I liked cars more so he took me to a race track. I started with a SC10.2. Short course truck was big back in 2013 when I started racing, so that’s what the locals recommended.

2. In your opinion what is your biggest personal win to date and why?

I would say my win at last year’s Wicked Weekend. I dominated Intermediate E buggy and took the win. That was when I decided I would make the move to the Pro class.

3. When life interferes and you can’t get out to the track, what other activities do you dabble with to meet your RC fix?

I’ll be either working on my cars for future events, or hanging out crawling, and bashing with my friends.

4. Which JConcepts product is your favorite to date, and why?

It’s not one but two tools. I would say the Aluminum Camber and Ride Height Gauges. Ride height and camber is crucial to car’s setup, so having aluminum precision tools helps to make sure your cars are dialed in!

5. Name one thing people might be surprised to learn about you.

I was actually born in Alaska. It’s definitely a long way from Florida, and a lot colder.
