In this edition of the JConcepts Friday5 we talk to Nebraska team driver, Daniel Bender!
1. When did you get your start in RC racing? Did you bash cars at first or jumped right into the racing scene?
My mom bought me my first RC car which was a Latrax Desert Prerunner. I ran the car in the parking lot and grass for hours at a time.
2. As a new driver for JConcepts in 2024, what do you feel you bring to the team and what are some of your racing goals?
I try to bring to the team a professional attitude as a role model and good sportsmanship. I enjoy helping others get started in the sport.
3. Which type of racing format do you prefer and why. A trophy race that runs over a weekend or a single day event with multiple rounds in a points series?
I enjoy weekend races because I can spend more time with friends and racing.
4. To date what is your favorite JConcepts product of all time and why?
My favorite JConcepts product is my Black Aluminum | Carbon Setting Board.
5. Besides piloting a RC car what other hidden talent or skill set do you possess that might surprise someone?
Something I do in my spare time is gardening, outdoor activities and swimming.
