Body Mount Accessory Set – Regulator | SMT10 | #0484 Body
Round body mounts are quite versatile in the monster truck and rock crawling world and quite easy to adjust and change depending on configuration. JConcepts has added new injection molded parts specifically for body mounting capability on the JConcepts Regulator and Axial SMT10 kits. The geometry and diameter of these body mounts will work for a wide range of Axial crawlers and can be used in conjunction with screw pins made popular in these kits.
Included, two adjustable height 30mm body posts and two 35mm body posts. This is the traditional combination needed for a retro pick-up body used on a Regulator converted monster truck. Also, two 30-degree front body mounts which are used to match #0484 Ford Aerostar body to Regulator chassis trucks. For taller body shells like the #0484 Ford Aerostar or #0466 Ford Bronco, two 107mm rear body mounts are in the package along with two specially designed body mount braces.
To make assembly easier, 4mm screw pins are included in the set to assemble the items. To add the body mounts to the vehicle, screw pins from the kit (not included) must be used. The product is designed in the U.S.A. and always backed by JConcepts customer service, supported, and developed by professionals with style. 1985 Ford Aerostar, BIGFOOT® Shuttle, Clod Buster | Regulator Body
April 16, 2024
One of the most endearing vehicles of all-time in the BIGFOOT® 4X4 line-up is the Shuttle. Based on a 1985 Ford Aerostar van, the crew from Missouri set out to build something the whole family could enjoy and learn from. The Shuttle was routinely used as a training vehicle for new drivers learning how to negotiate the 4wd steering so typical on monster trucks. It also made a great vehicle to test drive a new track, perform a scouting run through new terrain or provide entertainment for home videos driving through riverbeds and tackling camping trips.
JConcepts is on a mission to provide BIGFOOT® body shell options for popular RC vehicles in the market. The 1985 Ford Aerostar by JConcepts is fit for the JConcepts Regulator chassis, and Tamiya Clod Buster* (requires user adapted body mounting). The clear and one-piece body has all the stand-out features that made the Aerostar memorable, starting with the low slope angle hood and windshield. The high roofline of the van body runs the length of the shell and drops back just behind the rear wheel wells to allow space for the rear hatch door and window.
The side profile of the Aerostar is rather flat, and purpose built for shuttling the entire family between events. The entire side of the body has recessed windows with 5 different individual panes and body lines throughout providing more 1980’s identity in each direction. The front and rear wheel wells have a built-in flair giving some extra rigidity and blend perfectly with the design. Front and rear bumpers are also carved into the design and with included decal sheet, can be outfitted with miscellaneous license plate designs.
The unique shape of the body requires special body mounting considerations because of the angled front-end and height of the Aerostar shape. JConcepts offers an injection molded body mount set (available separately) for Regulator style mounts which can be outfitted quickly to get just the right fit. The mounts provide a steady, dual post assembly for the front and rear with the capability to reach the surface of the body at just the right height and angles.
The clear body is packaged with licensed Ford Aerostar decal set, BIGFOOT® 4X4 Shuttle decal sheet, and window mask for quick and easy paint. The body shell is manufactured with passion at the JConcepts headquarters in Groveland, Florida. Overspray film is standard on the item, and the entire package is backed with JConcepts customer support and heritage. Look for reputable dealers and distributors and demand authentic products – choose JConcepts.

1985 Ford Aerostar, LMT | SMT10 Body
April 16, 2024
The team at JConcepts had some fun with this one, the 1985 Ford Aerostar built for 13” or longer RC monster trucks. Back in the good old days, it was common to take just about every vehicle, make and model and produce a racing machine that would blister down the race track. As JConcepts continues to add performance, and historic looking shells to an already existing line-up, a lot of creative freedom was applied to this beast to provide ideal looks and tire clearance for big tire behemoths.
The 1985 Ford Aerostar by JConcepts is fit for the LMT, Axial SMT10, and similar sized RC monster racing trucks (requires user adapted body mounting).
The entire side of the body has recessed windows with a large pane in the rear section and body lines throughout providing more 1980’s identity in each direction. The front and rear wheel wells are intended to be cut very large and actually eliminating some stock vehicle geometry for additional monster truck clearance. Front and rear bumpers are also carved into the design and trimlines call to slice through some of these sections if desired by the builder.
The unique shape of the body requires special body mounting considerations because of the angled front-end and height of the Aerostar shape. JConcepts offers a fiber glass front (#5149) and rear (#5150) shock tower set (available separately) for LMT style body mounts which can be outfitted quickly to get just the right fit. The mounts provide a steady way to use JConcepts assembly parts and stock LMT post assets for the front and rear with the capability to reach the surface of the body at just the right height and angles.
The clear body is packaged with licensed Ford Aerostar decal set, and window mask for quick and easy paint. The body shell is manufactured with passion at the JConcepts headquarters in Groveland, Florida. 1979 Ford F-250 MT, Single Cab Body
April 17, 2024
A phenomenon must start somewhere, in the case of Monster Trucks; it was started with a 1979 Ford pick-up truck. The iconic body style shaped and revised by Ford, specifically for the 1979 model year, features rectangular headlights and a one-piece center grille. You’ll be hard-pressed to find a more beautiful truck than the 1979 and JConcepts has built a ground-up design which embodies everything that is special about this piece of truck history.
To start this project, JConcepts meticulously set their sights on the 1:1 vehicle replicating the finest details of the 1979. The heavily chiseled, square body look with enlarged, flat-top wheel wells set this body off as a favorite. The recessed body line extends down the entire side of the standard cab body and the included decal sheet details this section to appear like the chrome trim of yesteryear. The wrap-around front windshield, recessed side windows are outlined to perfection while the body lines are all in place to show off that vintage look.
With this project, it was important to have a much longer length to fit trucks with 12.5 to 13.00” or more wheelbase. Perhaps the most important part of the design, the front headlights, grille, taillights, and tailgate are replicated with a decal sheet giving that all important, high-impact look. The 12.5 to 13.00” wheelbase gives drivers options for mounting to vehicles such as the LMT, SMT10, or custom-built Pro Mod and competition trucks. The flatbed area gives plenty of space for body mount locations or customized with bed cover look.
When it’s time to fabricate a race truck or flash back to the golden years of Monster Trucks by dressing out a Pro Mod race build, JConcepts is World Proven Innovation and Design.

RC10B7 | RC10B7D Titanium Screw Set, Upper And Lower
May 14, 2024
RC10B7 | RC10B7D Titanium Top Hat Screw Set, Upper
Titanium is a racers best friend with the introduction of the Top Hat titanium screw sets from JConcepts. An easy way to trim weight, the screw set starts with high-quality titanium material machined to tight tolerances making them durable, easy to use, and one of the most glamorous items to add to a racing vehicle. The JConcepts team wanted a design that wasn’t the usual or simply picked from a catalog, it was necessary to change the button head and cap head style into something unique. The top hat name was given for the look of the hex head appearing rather formal and once combined with available burnt blue or stealth black colors, looks extraordinary.
The 77-piece screw set contains many top hat screws in various sizes as well as anodized and titanium flat head screws which are used in several areas throughout the upper side of the build. The top hat screw, designed during the 2021 racing season went through many tests over the course of time and have made it to famous builds by Ryan Maifield, Spencer Rivkin, Paul Wynn, and Jason Ruona.
The items are separated in bags and labeled for each area on the vehicle along with the size of each screw. On the RC10B7, it is recommended to only use the kit steel M3x16mm SHCS when installing the steering bell-cranks to the front bulkhead. No screw has been included for this due to impact strength and location benefits of using a standard SHCS screw. Using high-quality wrench sets like the JConcepts #2457 or MIP metric hex drivers will prolong the life of screws and make racing life much simpler in the long run.
The product is always backed by JConcepts customer service, supported, and developed by professionals with style and authenticity. Look for reputable dealers and distributors and demand authentic and licensed products – choose JConcepts.
RC10B7 | RC10B7D Titanium Screw Set, Lower
Titanium is a racers best friend with the introduction of the lower titanium screw set from JConcepts. An easy way to trim weight, the screw set starts with high-quality titanium material machined to tight tolerances making them durable, easy to use, and one of the most glamorous items to add to a racing vehicle. The 32-piece screw set contains many flat head screws in various sizes which are used in several areas throughout the lower side of the build.
Screws are anodized in either burnt blue or stealth black colors and range in length to satisfy the vehicle. The 3mm thread base grips well into plastic or when used against aluminum holes found routinely in the suspension components. Always use a light amount of thread locking compound (not included) when placing screws in aluminum. Please note that burnt blue colors have intentional sporadic coloring ranging all around the blue spectrum.
The items are separated in bags and labeled for each area on the vehicle to help place them according to length.
Top Hat Titanium Individual Screw Sets
May 16, 2024
Titanium is a racers best friend with the introduction of individual Top Hat titanium screws from JConcepts. An easy way to trim weight, the screws start with high-quality titanium material machined to tight tolerances making them durable, easy to use, and one of the most glamorous items to add to a racing vehicle. RC10B7 | RC10B7D Fin Titanium Front Stand-Off – 8mm
Strength, performance, and luster runs deep with the titanium stand-offs from JConcepts. The Fin Titanium items replace the standard parts and feature a light-weight design and with built-in pivot, accepts the stock mounting hardware. The 7mm hex based design allows installation with the most popular wrench in the RC arsenal but also tapers down to small diameters and the shock pivot area.
The stand-offs are precision machined to install neatly and allow the shocks floating freedom and just the correct amount of fore and aft movement. The inside of the item is massively undercut to reduce even more weight but still hold firm and clamp well against the shock tower. The items are available in burnt blue and stealth black color options and feature a 2nd operation machining technique to provide a sliver or raw titanium luster to the fit and finish.

S15 – RC10B7 | RC10B7D Body
May 16, 2024
Our favorite, the IFMAR World Championships, is the pinnacle of RC racing and a perfect setting for product releases and performance debuts. The heritage of the IFMAR World Championship winning S15 design runs deep in the new shell, and hits on all cylinders. A great body to decal, the performance body has a lot of racing surface area to display an array of sponsors, and support. With successful designs coming from the Punisher, Finnisher, and Silencer line, the JConcepts crew made the decision for the RC10B7, it was time for the S15.
Incorporating lessons from the lineage, the team concentrated on the single cock-pit placement, deflection angles, hard edged (JConcepts chamfering), and side pod winglets. The single side window design is a departure from the usual JC team body shells but drops in nicely on the S15. Driving the S15, it performs like a champion, albeit slightly different than its predecessors, the delicate nature of the shell allows the driver to flow, drive smoothly, and radius difficult corners without over aggression.
The new item follows the chassis shape like a glove and the tidy arrangement is free of unwanted gaps. The center line roof fin helps the body stand up to rigorous demands of crashes and off-track excursions and while on the track, provides straight line tracking ability. The top of the side pod rolls into the rear end section helping with the force placed just in front of the rear tires. Just behind the cab, there is a trim-able section dedicated to rear escape of hot air and inner shell build up.
The back of the body has a climbing spoiler shape that uses the rear of the body to increase rear downforce. As always, the body arrives with window mask, decal sheet, two of the latest Carpet | Turf | Dirt wings for a quick transition from preparation to racing. The product is always backed by JConcepts customer service, supported, and developed by professionals with style and authenticity. Look for reputable dealers and distributors and demand authentic products – choose JConcepts.
Silent Speed Mini Motors
May 20, 2024
Minis and micros need power too. JConcepts is pleased to announce the addition of 180 motors in 66T and 87T variants. Adding the 66T motor will provide a little more speed to vehicles like the Traxxas TRX4-M. The increased speed allows spinning tires to move into operating temperatures quicker which provides the driver a little better feel while attacking new or fresh terrain. The 87T provides similar power and wheel speed to the stock item in RTR vehicles but with an all-stealth black can, pre-installed pinion gear, wiring care, and pre-installed JST plug.
F2 – Mugen MSB1 Body
June 27, 2024
JConcepts continues to re-write the script when it comes to off-road body design, development, and styling. It is difficult to find a more successful body shell than the F2 design by the creators from Groveland, Florida. As the release drops of the Mugen MSB1, JConcepts set off to incorporate all the functionality of the IFMAR World Championship winning shell and wrapped it around the newest dynamo from Mugen Seiki Racing. The exclusive composition of the cab, extra rear windows, louvered roof all tied together with Finnisher “V” configuration makes the F2 a classic performer.
As vehicles change and evolve over the course of time, the shape of the new Mugen chassis is one the major components that goes under the microscope. JConcepts kept the profile tight and bordered the chassis outline front to back. The front-end slides over the top deck and under the front tower for a clean and classic fit. The look of the Finnisher has been sampled quite a bit over the years, however, with the double steps on the side-pod and off the back of the roof, nothing quite stands out like the original.
In 1/10th buggy racing, cab placement is critical, the forward bias cab with powerful windshield angle conquers terrain ranging from dirt, sealed synthetic, carpet, to astroturf. The JConcepts body really does it all, with chamfered side-pods blended perfectly into the cab and broad rear mounting ledge, the F2 is a winner. The body includes a feature which covers the rear spur gear guard and with a little extra clearance for the occasional frills and spills.
The championship winning item includes two of the 6.5” Carpet | Turf | Dirt wing which is now a standard racing item around the world. The body includes all trim and window lines scribed on the body and masks to quickly cover the inside of the windows to perform user generated painting technique. A popular and versatile JConcepts decal sheet is included to decorate the new shell to the choice of the customer while a simple instruction sheet covers the basics for new or inexperienced painters.
The body arrives as clear polycarbonate with protective film and is available in standard and lightweight formed thickness. The JConcepts team builds, tests, and travels the world to support the brand and gather valuable driver feedback in search of the best appearing and performance items on the market. The product is designed and formed in the U.S.A. and always backed by JConcepts customer service, supported, and developed by professionals with style. 8th Scale Truck Falcon Tires
July 1, 2024
After successful tire designs such as the Reflex, Detox, and Kosmos, the JConcepts team went back to work developing a fresh design. A triple row, double spaced concept is unique, and incorporates a new tapered and square shaped pin. The tight nest of pins works together forming a rubber surface patch that handles the harder surfaces and resists wear due to their proximity. The landing “Falcon” shape arrived after experimenting and prototyping with different techniques for side bite stability.
For the pins to work together in the center, connecting bars were added to resist pin flex and ultimately provide a solid base down low. Moving to outer rows, more space is generated with clipped corners and a rolled sidewall set of pins. The new tire is stable at high-speeds and high-bite, but also allows clean-out room for deeper dirt, loam, or sandy conditions.
Inside the tire body, the JConcepts radial ribbing blends together with the included Dirt-Tech inserts. Once mounted, the Falcon tire and Dirt-Tech insert bond to form a tight-knit package that rolls well through the turns and remains balanced in extreme conditions. For the ultimate racing package, mount to (not included) JConcepts #3369 wheels available in bright white or fluorescent yellow. At the races, Mason Fuller took the TQ and won the 1:8th E-Truck class at the recent Silver State Nitro Challenge with the new Falcon tire.
The Falcons are available in super soft (green), soft (blue), and medium soft (Aqua A2) compounds giving a variety of options to the detailed driven racer. Look for genuine JConcepts logos, lettering, packaging, and rubber compounding before any purchase. Purchase from reputable dealers and distributors and demand authentic products. The product is always backed by JConcepts customer service, supported, and developed by professionals with style and authenticity. JConcepts is, World Proven Innovation and Design – since 2003.
8th Scale Truck Dirt Bite Tires
July 1, 2024
The Dirt Bite concept involves the pins of the tire being positioned in a radius giving new alignment to racing surfaces. No matter how you view the new tire, the arrangement flows at a curvature making the Dirt Bite unique to all other tires on the market. The Square pin, with tapered sizing has a crisp feel, malleable to the racing terrain and contorts to meet the demands of surfaces ranging from wet and loamy, to blue and black groove conditions.
The pins themselves are comparable to popular JConcepts tires like the Reflex and Triple Dees, but, the sturdy base, radius at the carcass, helps build a new super tire. Dirt Bites are built on the proven JConcepts continuous radius tire carcass that is lightweight and has already built a winning resume on the 1:8th truck racing scene. The new design allows for increased hard corner drivability and the bead of the tire drops right on to industry standard 4.0” wheels such as the JConcepts #3369 available in bright white and fluorescent yellow.
On the track, Dakotah Phend recently used the Dirt Bite tire to success at The Dirt Nitro Challenge performing the lowest lap times of the event. The directional ability of the tire was used by the drivers searching for their own comfortable feel on the wet but grooved track surface. The curvature of the tire allows a racer to position the tread in a leading or following position to apply the compound to the track. The direction of choice changes how the tread lays to the surface and which edge or edges get the brunt of corning load. Test and tune, apply and remember which configuration works best for you.
The Dirt Bite tires are available in super soft (green), soft (blue), and medium soft (Aqua A2) compounds giving a variety of options to the detailed driven racer.

Setting the trim on any RC car is crucial but perhaps even more critical is for the trim to remain consistent throughout a race. JConcepts introduces the servo mount bracket for the RC10B7 line of vehicles. Constructed of lightweight aluminum, the servo mount brace has been a staple for racing vehicles going back to previous generation vehicles. The simple and sleek design with performance and tracking advantages have spoken volumes throughout the years on the racetrack.
The mount fits snug inside the chassis servo mounting area increasing the support while the 2 screw mounting locations are beefy in design and zeroed in for a direct mount to the chassis. The brace has locations on each side for included set screws to help align and maintain servo position during racing conditions, crashes, and hard hits. The set screws are intended to touch-off against the servo case and provide additional support retaining the servo in the intended position which helps maintain consistent steering trim.
The servo mount brace can be installed without any modifications or additional equipment in RC10B7 vehicles. The most recent design for the latest Team Associated vehicle incorporates a little extra room for servo mount lead on popular servos like the Savox and other similar models. With a sleek wrap-around design, luster of aluminum, and etched JConcepts.net logo, the brace adds consistency, performance tune-ability with aesthetic appeal. JConcepts is, World Proven Innovation and Design.
Installation notes –
To install, completely remove servo from vehicle and remove standard mounts. With the servo horn already in the correct position, align plastic shims or without as previously used on the servo. Install brace to each side and loosely fasten factory mounting screws with washers into the 4 locations and snug them. Now, center the servo between the brace and install the set screws on each side, use a light amount of thread locking compound (#8136) RM2 thread lock adhesive and snug them to touch off and keep the servo in place.
Completely clamp the 4 mounting screws on the front side to lock servo position. Remember to always use a light amount of thread locking compound when securing steel screws into aluminum. Reinstall the servo to vehicle and trim out and check EPA adjustments to complete assembly.

Silent Speed 540 35T Motor
July 9, 2024
The Silent Speed brushed motor by JConcepts is the perfect complement to scale | trail drivers looking for drive-able and rebuild-able power. One of the best aspects of brushed power is the ability to perform on a budget while performing at a high-level. The 35-turn Silent Speed motor, with dual ball-bearings, adjustable timing can be torn-down, cleaned and re-brushed at any moment for consistent performance.
The Silent Speed motor works well in single motor applications and in crawlers such as Axial and Element. A great option as a replacement motor, Silent Speed has a lot of built-in advantages for scale RC monster truck events and promoters looking to level the playing field. As always, each motor is backed with JConcepts customer support and racing heritage.
Notes from the team –
The ideal running temperature range of the motor is between 115-120 degrees. It’s important to watch the operating temperature and adjust gearing appropriately to stay within the ideal range. Over-gearing extended full-throttle and full-braking runs will heat the motor quickly. Any temperature over 150 degrees is risking permanent damage to the motor and internal components. Always monitor the appearance of the commutator, brushes, shunt, and springs for excessive saturated heat as indicated by blue to orange or red coloring.

2.2″ Ruptures (5.25″ OD)
July 15, 2024
The super soft green compound grips like a monster, while the tall (5.25”) profile JConcepts tire for 2.2” wheels tackles even the most treacherous terrain. The Ruptures for class 3 vehicles are an extremely tacky yet versatile tire crawling drivers’ lust for. The design starts with a layout of individual “large islands” that react to directional and forward loading characteristics like a soft gummy candy. The long horizontal attack bars are connected to solid sidewall detail which braces the sidewall for high impact situations.
The center “mini-islands” help maintain spinning speed and at half height provide some space to sling clean during those dirty trail runs. The entire top level of tread has built-in cuts and recessing which provide a sharp edge. A sidewall radial rib connected with a dual position arrow helps maintain stability and helps the driver squeak out of a tough situation. The carcass itself is extremely pliable which conforms to most obstacles.
Ruptures come standard in grippy green compound and includes firm open cell inserts for plenty of inner carcass support. Inside the carcass, small “alien head” ribbing has been added to help brace the lower sidewall down near the bead area. The rest of the inner surface of the tire is smooth, lightweight and provides plenty of space for a variety of aftermarket inserts and miscellaneous user generated configurations. The Ruptures, designed by JConcepts, are highly sought-after for their famed performance are the real deal.
Look for genuine JConcepts logos, lettering, holographic decal on packaging, and rubber compounding before any purchase.
2.2″ The Hold (5.25″ OD)
July 15, 2024
JConcepts jumped out with a new aggressive tread pattern for the 2.2” crawling enthusiast. The Hold was designed from the ground-up as a carved and chiseled design to handle a variety of scale off-road terrain. The large horizontal traction bars put a “Hold” on ranging features from dirt, asphalt, grass, mud, rock, and clay. At the tip of the tread, the downward progression starts and reveals another flat bar of gripping pattern to provide offset traction controlling attributes. During the bar transitions, an angular segment stabilizes and gives edginess to terrain at another direction to help the lift and cut through even more environments.
The 5.25” size remains a standard size in the successful fleet of tires which have size, detail, and still look girth appropriate for 1/10th scale off-road class 3 crawling machines. The sidewall lugging on The Hold is a thing of beauty starting with peaks set at the outer most constraints of the design. An alternating pattern of finely detailed tread steps in and out allowing a multitude of edging to stand out from the design. Inscribed drops of features are placed in an array pattern to promote more flexibility in areas of need.
Perhaps the greatest detail of all, the mimicked hand cutting details completely cover The Hold. The horizontal traction bars are back cut and steps down to the carcass and wrap around the sidewall in a forward progressing pattern. On top of the carcass itself, more surface removal is shown to bring out intensity. Beautiful lettering is bossed along the bead area placing name, sizing, and authentic logos in plain view but rested underneath the heavily modified tread.
The Hold comes standard in the grippy green compound and includes firm open cell inserts for plenty of inner carcass support. Look for genuine JConcepts logos, lettering, packaging, and rubber compounding before any purchase.
Siren, 2.2″ Stadium Truck Tire
July 17, 2024
JConcepts hits the track with another weapon for the carpet and astroturf racing world. The Siren tire, shares styling cues from its successful racing sibling, the Nessi. Racing on artificial surfaces require a lot of stability and forward-bite and the design team went to work to substantially improve performance for deep nested turf or carpet surfaces. The new stadium truck tire brings a new larger and taller sized 3D blended pin-size, pin-separation, and a lightweight and incredibly low-profile carcass.
Designed in the industry standard 2.2” bead mounting size, the Siren is very versatile and has shown to work in many natural and artificial conditions. The semi-circle protrusions, unique to the Lockness, Nessi, and now the Siren are included in the center section of the tire and on the sidewall area. These details are important, and the low semi-circles improves side-bite but also minimize grip-rolling instances associated with normal pins. The pink compound represents a new compound for JConcepts, a medium soft material with good wear characteristics. The rear tires include open cell inserts making them a complete set ready to mount, straight out of the package.

Drop Step, 2.2″ Stadium Truck Tire
July 17, 2024
One of the best moves a racer can make is increasing tire pin size for deep or long shag turf conditions. The Drop Step tire is an ole school, step pin type tire but with large hexagon shaped base features doubled up and offset to create more edges and surfaces to bite and grip in deep conditions. Long pins extend off the hex designs and reach into the depths of racing surfaces. The drafted pin angle has a stout base and increases flexibility near the peak for delicate bite. Designed in the industry standard 2.2” bead mounting size for stadium trucks, the Drop Step is very versatile and has shown to work in many artificial conditions.
The semi-circle protrusions, unique to the Lockness, Nessi, and now, Drop Step are included in the sidewall area of the tire to help hold turns at high-speeds. A unique feature on the Drop Step is the scalloped tire bead which removes a lot of weight from a normally beefy area. The tips of the bead touch off on the inner beads on the wheel which lead to a great alignment but now with reduced rotating weight. The JConcepts tires include open cell, medium inserts for plush control. The 2.2” bead mounting diameter fits to popular wheels like the #3354 Mono wheels available in bright white and florescent yellow.
L8 Night G3 Speedway Body
July 19, 2024
JConcepts continues to roll new items out of the speed laboratory, this time for the Dirt Oval Late Model division. Late model vehicles are among the highest class of stock car vehicles in the United States and specialize in wheel-to-wheel racing while bringing the crowd to its feet. In the radio control world, JConcepts is a leader in aero force development and the latest project, the L8 Night G3 body, is a combination of knowhow, experience, driver testing and advanced concepts.
The 10” wide body capable of a drop-fit on an assortment of Late Model chassis, the body styling starts up front with a heavily dropped and scooped nose pointing the vehicle in the correct direction. A left side, “power rail” line the front fender allowing corner tracking stability. The “deck” treatment starts with a mock driver cockpit, then multiple cut-in louvers strengthen the deck while an inner transition starts giving the L8 Night G3 an inner spoiler to ramp up with.
The offset, and separate cab bolts into position with included hardware and once positioned, provides the high-speed through-all stability with open windshield and rear window design. An asymmetrical designed cab for high-speed left turning has the built-in ability to trim-out the front, rear and side windows for scale appearance and performance. The rear jump window can be left in place, made clear with included window masks for added deflection and to strengthen the cab.
The flat rear deck incorporates indented channels promoting flow upward to the large rear spoiler and side-dams. The side-panels of the body feature a stepped rocker panel section, this accomplishes a multitude of design goals in the process. First, it increases the rigidness of the panel giving one of the highest aero elements of the body stability at speed and in risky maneuvering situations. Increased resiliency also works to minimize body tucking and helps maintain a healthy distance from wheel well to tire.
The asymmetrical aspect to the G3 version of the JConcepts body culminates on the right front over-hanging fender. The staggered and lapping portion of the body over the right front wheel provides aerodynamic benefits during cornering. The nature of the design hides the front tire turning angle while still maintaining a steady force to the outside and hard turn-in side to the vehicle. The over-hang helps give the G3 body the cut in the corners that racers enjoy on small and large circuits.
Centered in the bonnet, a protection shroud for the mock air cleaner chiseled into the hood of the new body looks very “Late Model.” Included in each package, the pre-trimmed rear spoiler with hardware is one of the most trick items on the market. The slotted side-dams are ready to go and feature an adjustment section of 3 positions for the rear spoiler angle. The rear spoiler is cut, bent and ready to position on the back of the body with the included 9 pieces of light-weight hardware.

Swaggoo 2.2″ Slim Front Tire
July 31, 2024
The Swaggoo 2wd front tire has a multitude of heights and angular ribs for corner speed, consistency and straight-line tracking ability. The Swagger, a popular tire in the JConcepts line-up was used as inspiration for the new Swaggoo. A new low-profile carcass matches the height of popular tires such as the Fuzz Bite and Pin Swag front tires from JConcepts. This reactive concept with new staggered wedges with added teeth and notched large lugs works together to create corner speed.
The Swaggoo has shown to produce ultra-fast lap times while also being easier to drive than other options on the market. A great tire for the spec events such as the popular independent, 21.5, and 17.5 buggy classes. A unique feature on the Swaggoo is the scalloped tire bead which removes a lot of weight from a normally beefy area. The tips of the bead touch off on the inner beads on the wheel which lead to a great alignment but now with reduced un-sprung weight. During the gluing process, it is also handy to have some breathing room for the glue process and the geometry gives many edges and ledges to adhere to.
The super low-profile tires do not require foam inserts but can be added or purchased separately using JConcepts #3275 for additional tuning. The 2.2” bead mounting diameter fits to popular slim wheels like the #3376 Mono wheels available in bright white and florescent yellow. The pink compound marked with 2 pink dots on the tire represents a new compound for JConcepts, a medium soft material with prolonged wear characteristics.
Double Dees V2 2.2″ Stadium Truck Tires
August 6, 2024
Originals are often hard to beat, in the case of the Double Dees V2, every attempt at improving was considered. The carcass was revised for a broader and lower carcass for a stout feel in straight-line tracking ability. The sidewall provides a little cushion for bumps and terrain irregularities and the “hips” have moved a little lower for more stability. The inner carcass webbing has also been designed to incorporate a more traditional overlapping X pattern concept to provide the all-around support needed at high-speed. The V2 rear tire is perfect for a variety of track surfaces and when conditions are unknown, the Double Dees are always a safe choice.
The basis of the pin design is the back-to-back D shaped pins located directly in the center of the tire, this produces forward bite and stability. The triangulated 4-some tread layout hits another phase with the dual square pin surrounding the center structure. To fill in the rest of the tire, the lugs have been spread in a staggered pattern with alternating open sections to free up space for dirt, debris, and flex. The outside of the pins has been clipped, angled, and sliced to give a smooth driving feeling minimizing overhang to drive through difficult sections with confidence.
The JConcepts tires include the Dirt-Tech closed cell inserts popularized by their durable nature and unique gray color.
P2 – XRAY XB2 2024 Body
August 7, 2024
A staple in the JConcepts product line, the Punisher body shell design, started its time in the off-road division during the 2010 racing season. Over the course of a decade, the design team along with the racers have helped push the envelope and re-invent the Punisher along the way. The P2 design arrived just in time for the IFMAR Worlds in 2017 where the team tested and confirmed performance characteristics on the Xiamen, China track surface. Now, the P2 is available for the latest vehicle in the XRAY product line, the XB2 2024.
While track conditions around the world develop, the P2 started to gain steam. In the hands of ace drivers Spencer Rivkin (2019 IFMAR World Champion), Dakotah Phend (3x ROAR 2wd National Champion) the JConcepts body developed a reputation as the go-to design for dirt surfaces ranging from low to high-traction. The versatility of the P2, providing grip when its needed, dimensional stability at the right time, and a tuning aid together with front and rear wing options available separately from JConcepts remain a dominating 2wd buggy aero package.
The channeling concept of the P2 body begins in the front with a forward based windshield which is heavily recessed with vertical railing. The continuation of the design flows over the cockpit, digs deep into the rear section where it re-appears to a double winglet placed just in front of the rear tires in the horizontal plane. The identifiable feature which debuted in 2010, the center fin is present on the world championship winning shell design and runs most of the complete length from cab to the rear shocks.
The dual windows of the P2 gives a hint of JConcepts lineage dating back to the original Illuzion body. The side pods are heavily chamfered, made popular with original #gojconcepts designed body shells going back as far as the early 2000’s. In front of the windshield, a deflection shield begins air flow in the front-end lining up with front shock tower geometry. The high-performance item has protection and surrounds the XRAY spur gear guard like a glove.
The championship winning item includes two of the 6.5” Carpet | Turf | Dirt wing which is now a standard racing item around the world. The body includes all trim and window lines scribed on the body and masks to quickly cover the inside of the windows for user generated painting technique. The P2 photo car is just an example of what is possible when it comes to custom painting and art performed (not included) around the world.
The body arrives as clear polycarbonate with protective film and is available in standard and lightweight formed thickness.
F2 – XRAY XB2 2024 Body
August 7, 2024
JConcepts continues to re-write the script when it comes to off-road body design, development, and styling. It is difficult to find a more successful body shell than the F2 design by the creators from Groveland, Florida. As the release drops of the XRAY XB2 2024, JConcepts set off to incorporate all the functionality of the IFMAR World Championship winning shell and wrapped it around the newest dynamo from Team XRAY. The exclusive composition of the cab, extra rear windows, louvered roof all tied together with Finnisher “V” configuration makes the F2 a classic performer.
As vehicles change and evolve over the course of time, the shape of the new XRAY chassis is one the major components that goes under the microscope.

Siren – 2.2″ Stadium Truck Pre-Mounts
September 4, 2024
JConcepts hits the track with another weapon for the carpet and astroturf racing world. The Siren tire now available as pre-mounted, shares styling cues from its successful racing sibling, the Nessi.
Designed in the industry standard 2.2” bead mounting size, the Siren is very versatile and has been shown to work in many natural and artificial conditions. The semi-circle protrusions, unique to the Lockness, Nessi, and now the Siren are included in the center section of the tire and on the sidewall area. These details are important, and the low semi-circles improve side-bite but also minimize grip-rolling instances associated with normal pins. The pink compound represents a new compound for JConcepts, a medium soft material with good wear characteristics. The pre-mounted tires on genuine JConcepts #3354 wheels include open cell inserts making them a complete set ready to install on the vehicle, straight out of the package.
The product is always backed by JConcepts customer service, supported, and developed by professionals with style and authenticity. Look for reputable dealers and distributors and demand authentic and licensed products – choose JConcepts.
Drop Step – 2.2″ Stadium Truck Pre-Mounts
September 4, 2024
One of the best moves a racer can make is increasing tire pin size for deep or long shag turf conditions. The Drop Step tire, now available as pre-mounted is an ole school, step pin type tire but with large hexagon shaped base features doubled up and offset to create more edges and surfaces to bite and grip in deep conditions. Long pins extend off the hex designs and reach into the depths of racing surfaces. The drafted pin angle has a stout base and increases flexibility near the peak for delicate bite. Designed in the industry standard 2.2” bead mounting size for stadium trucks, the Drop Step is very versatile and has been shown to work in many artificial conditions.
The semi-circle protrusions, unique to the Lockness, Nessi, and now, Drop Step are included in the sidewall area of the tire to help hold turns at high speeds. A unique feature on the Drop Step is the scalloped tire bead which removes a lot of weight from a normally beefy area. The tips of the bead touch off the inner beads on the wheel which lead to a great alignment but now with reduced rotating weight. The JConcepts tires include open cell, medium inserts pre-mounted on genuine #3354 wheels for plush control.

F2 – XRAY XB4 2024 Body
September 18, 2024
JConcepts continues to re-write the script when it comes to off-road body design, development, and styling. It is difficult to find a more successful body shell than the F2 design by the creators from Groveland, Florida. As the popularity grows of the XRAY XB4, JConcepts set off to incorporate all the functionality of the IFMAR World Championship winning shell and wrapped it around the newest dynamo from XRAY. The exclusive composition of the cab, extra rear windows, louvered roof all tied together with Finnisher “V” configuration makes the F2 a classic performer.
As vehicles change and evolve over the course of time, the shape of the chassis is one the major components that goes under the microscope. JConcepts kept the profile tight and bordered the chassis outline front to back. The front-end slides over the top deck for a clean and classic fit and tucks around the front bulkhead geometry.
The body includes features to provide room for battery positioning, motor height, and servo geometry.
Customers can commission custom painters to decorate their purchase much like team drivers around the world. For the feature paint scheme, the JConcepts team goes to detail artists like Kolors by Kropy and Kustom RC Graphics.
P2 – XRAY XB4 2024 Body
September 18, 2024
A staple in the JConcepts product line, the Punisher body shell design, started its time in the off-road division during the 2010 racing season. Over the course of a decade, the design team along with the racers have helped push the envelope and re-invent the Punisher along the way. The P2 design arrived just in time for the IFMAR Worlds in 2017 where the team tested and confirmed performance characteristics on the Xiamen, China track surface. Now, the P2 is available for the latest vehicle in the XRAY product line, the XB4 2024.
The versatility of the P2, providing grip when its needed, dimensional stability at the right time, and a tuning aid together with front and rear wing options available separately from JConcepts remain a dominating 4wd buggy aero package.
Channeling concepts of the P2 body begin in the front with a forward based windshield which is heavily recessed with vertical railing.
Dual windows of the P2 gives a hint of JConcepts lineage dating back to the original Illuzion body.
Photo body, painted by Kustom RC Graphics shows off work performed by East Coast Color routinely for JConcepts drivers.
RC10B7 Aluminum 1-Piece Rear Wing Button
September 18, 2024
It’s nice to have options, with the introduction of the RC10B7, requests for an assortment of JConcepts products leads us to the release of the 1-piece rear wing button. The connected, dual triangular item is braced and shaped for function and flair. The idea of the shape is to create a solid footing against the wing with a hefty base but a soft leading edge for smooth air flow. The domed shape with small flat top reveals just enough room for the standard mounting hardware.
The item has silver highlighted chamfering around the base with connected brace between the two functional housings. The connector sports another channel cut for additional detail and cuts the wind like a racing machine should. Available in bold blue or stealth black, the 1-piece wing button adds strength, durability, and outright pizzazz to the high-performance RC10B7 vehicle. On top, JC logos are added for style and authenticity providing a bit of peace of mind.
S15 Body For Schumacher Cougar LD3
October 4, 2024
Our favorite, the IFMAR World Championships, is the pinnacle of RC racing and a perfect setting for product releases and performance debuts. The heritage of the IFMAR World Championship winning S15 design runs deep in the new shell, and hits on all cylinders. A great body to decal, the performance body has a lot of racing surface area to display an array of sponsors, and support. With successful designs coming from the Punisher, Finnisher, and Silencer line, the JConcepts crew made the decision for the Schumacher Cougar, it was time for the S15.

1:8th Truck Off-Road Tire Stick
October 4, 2024
Tire organization is key in 1:8th off-road racing and especially with ever changing track conditions. Wear and compound considerations must be closely monitored and its useful to store like tires and compounds together. JConcepts introduces the new 1/8 tire sticks which allow a driver to neatly group sets of front and rear tires together. With availability in blue or black colors, the tire sticks can make an eye-popping appearance in the pits or tucked away nicely in storage or racing bags. The tire sticks operate with 2 separate pieces that are designed to interlock and work together to snap and clinch into place.
To use, simply slide the mounted tires down the stick portion and position them so the last tire has the hex facing outward. Slide the clinching retainer down the stick and align the into place in the wheel and pull snuggly together. Get organized with JConcepts.
13mm Shock Pistons, 2.3mm
October 14, 2024
In today’s competitive racing, the piston game remains a constant when tuning a high-end 1:10th off-road vehicle. The 2.3mm machined piston refers to the thickness of the actual piston giving an in-between option racers have not had until now. The pistons are made for 13mm diameter shocks with a tight tolerance for reduced blow-by giving consistent performance. The Delrin material, a hard compound with low friction characteristics arrives with dimples indicating an array of possible hole combinations drivers can alter to their own preference.
Notes from the team: Thinner pistons created their place in RC racing with racers using this option at famous tracks such as OCRC during such events as the Reedy Race of Champions and the Surf City Classic. In the past, the stock setting for piston thickness was 2.5mm and later, 2.0mm thickness was introduced. Paul Wynn, using tuning to his advantage, has always looked for a slight change in thickness and the recommendation is now available to further dial into conditions.
In general, when the piston is passing through the oil, the thinner piston reduces the time the oil spends being restricted through the user generated holes in the piston. Although a small change, the moments difference alters the compression and rebound damping providing a different control and ride for the racer. Track time from team drivers Paul Wynn and Julien Oliveras have offered the drivers a smooth ride, bump handling consistency, a slight overall traction increase, and the ability to setup for jumps with more precision. Depending on jump difficulty, racers can choose pack settings with hole diameter and number of holes chosen. It is recommended to always start with smaller holes for testing, making them larger is always easier and more efficient.
Starting point on dirt, drill 2 x 1.7mm front with 30wt and 2 x 1.9mm rear with 27.5wt.
Starting point on carpet, drill 3 x 1.5mm front with 40wt and 3 x 1.6mm rear with 35wt.
13mm Shock Pistons, BK Design
October 14, 2024
A project from the man himself has now appeared as an option for 13mm shocks. The BK piston, machined in low friction Delrin material has opened a can of goodness racers have only heard about, until now. The prototype slotted piston, machined by BK using equipment purchased exclusively for the master of all RC trades was for sure a late-night project. During 2016, finding grip with newly released mid-motor vehicles was a vicious hunt for low-traction dirt conditions.
As track conditions advanced, finding grip wasn’t necessarily as high a priority, hence the delay in the BK piston introduction. However, as the hands of time move forward, vehicles are once again looking for an edge in grip handling due to their advanced corning abilities. The all-precision machined item has the makings of the latest winner from the JConcepts Speed Laboratory and can be tuned by the user. The pistons have dimpled indications located on the top so the racer can dial in the perfect settings for their individual track or condition.
Notes from the team: Test drivers have reported increased vehicle grip while utilizing the exclusive design. The BK channel in the piston increases the volume of oil in the shock body acting as another chamber in the shock body to add consistency to the mechanism. During compression and rebound, a lot of disturbance is created inside the working area of the shock.
The action of a traditional piston is very top to bottom with pass-through only allowed through dedicated holes and around the perimeter due to blow-by. With this design, the piston is passing fluid through 2 separate channeled sections while the entire disturbance area rests in oil which helps compartmentalize all activity.
In testing, this has translated into consistent handling, more overall grip, while the vehicle seems to act more with the track surface, rather than against it. Driving with a lower ride-height always helps cornering ability and stability, however, the adverse effect is handling over uneven terrain. With the BK piston the vehicle seems to perform better at low ride-height while still handling individual bumps and deflections that vehicles undergo during hard sweep cornering.
Starting point on dirt, drill 2 x 1.7mm and 1 x 1.8mm front with 30wt and 2 x 2.0mm and 1 x 1.0mm rear with 27.5wt
Starting point on carpet, coming soon
RC10GT Rear Shock Tower
October 15, 2024
The RC10GT, the most classic nitro stadium truck design in RC history now has some option parts. JConcepts is spot on with the release of a Carbon Fiber option for the rear shock tower. The stock vehicle comes standard with a fiberglass unit which carries all the original geometry; however, it lacks the pizzazz, strength, optional holes and appearance that Carbon Fiber can provide.
The new rear shock tower includes the Factory Team Truck geometry as well as the original for the best handling characteristics from that era. The tower includes detailed reinforced areas adding strength in key areas as well as the improvement in material creates a more rigid feel, increasing the response in the rear-end. Replace the fiberglass and go with authentic 3.0mm Carbon Fiber by JConcepts.

Notes from the team: The 3x6mm screw will not fit a standard RC10B7 motor mount.
JCI Tucked, 1990 Chevy S10 Crawler Body
October 15, 2024
The Chevrolet S10 is a classic in the fleet of General Motors products. JConcepts attempts to reach out to the faithful while topping off crawler chassis utilizing the 12.3” wheelbase. The team adapts the mid-sized truck with front and rear tucked fenders to fit the popular crawler vehicles. The single cab body sits on top of the square body shape and flexes its muscles as one of the meanest little trucks during the 1990 period. The tucked concept by JConcepts allows the vehicle more clearance and tire clearance for the competitive trucks on the circuit.
The pre-cut body sports wheel well openings are set for class 1 or class 2 tires but can be user trimmed to allow more clearance as vehicle articulation picks up. The front-end grille is flat, settles to a slight V in the center and perfect for included decals to cover and represent a favorite brand. The front skirt length arrives with a slightly longer cut and can be user modified to fit (not included) aftermarket bumpers. The hood has all important S10 body lines and provides clean area for body mounts to pop through.
Side body panels on an S10 are very flat, but include a light body line up top, and a harder body line lower near the middle of the wheel wells that extends the length of the shell. The recessed bed remains a great place to mount the body or place scale accessories associated with vehicle trailing and scaling. The tailgate is a great area to place included decals such as the Chevrolet badging and just to the sides, the rear taillights. The rear bumper area is clipped short for a more roll-pan look and less overhang.
The clear and pre-cut body shell includes decal sheet, window mask for easy painting, and covered with overspray film direct from the factory. The JConcepts team builds, tests, and travels the world to support the brand and gather valuable driver feedback in search of the best appearing and performance items on the market.

Dirt Web 2, 1:8th Buggy Tire
October 16, 2024
Back in 2013, JConcepts reinvented the bar tire with the introduction of the Dirt Web tread specifically for indoor off-road racing. The Dirt Web has remained a favorite in racing circles with racers still dreaming of performances put down by the tire co-designed by Jason Ruona and Brian Kinwald. In 1:8th off-road, bar tire racing has made a sudden emergence specifically in Europe where conditions are smooth, rubber, or glue impregnated, making racing super high-speed and consistent.
For 2024, the JConcepts team went back to the lab to bring new options to light, specifically the Dirt Web 2. The seasoned racer will notice the similarities to 2013, but also notice the enhancements found in the thickness, repeated sections, and connecting bars. One of the keys to a bar tire is spacing, the DW2 has an open section in the center to provide some forward bite and room for the tread to open during acceleration.
The outer sections pick up with a dense arrangement of the Dirt Web connections and provide plenty contact patch for high-speed cornering. In between the pattern rests small individual pins at lower height to provide additional contact during tire wear. The inner carcass has revolved inner ribbing making it the standard on tracks which require additional grip, slightly bumpy terrain, with patches of dust and debris. The sidewall has authentic JConcepts markings, part number, and embossed logos depicting the naming of the tire.
The Dirt Web 2 comes with Dirt-Tech inserts known for their durability, shape, and consistent feel in a multitude of track conditions. The JConcepts team builds, tests, and travels the world to support the brand and gather valuable driver feedback in search of the best appearing and performance items on the market.
Double Bar, 1:8th Buggy Tire
October 16, 2024
During the march to the 1/8 IFMAR World Championship, JConcepts added another weapon to the bar tire arsenal with the Double Bar. Using previously unseen elements with the dual nature of the tread, the JConcepts item is an entirely different monster. The overlapping and repeated concept is one that intends to tackle conditioned track surfaces and heavy slick groove conditions like never before. Located in the infield of the tread, diamond patterned pins consume space, surface area, and ultimately a flexible arrangement that conforms to high-end racing conditions.
As the dual tread intersects itself, a wall provides additional side bite and stability during hard side-loads and 180-degree corners. The soft and layered tread terminates at the edge, and it rolls off to give the tire an easy transition for an easier driving feel. Inside, a firmer inner carcass webbing was built into the Double Bar to take on more difficult jumping tasks, faster speed European style track layouts, and reduce the ballooning effect of racing at higher speeds.
The Double Bar arrives ready with Dirt-Tech inserts known for their durability, shape, and consistent feel in a multitude of track conditions. The JConcepts team builds, tests, and travels the world to support the brand and gather valuable driver feedback in search of the best appearing and performance items on the market. The product is designed in the U.S.A. and always backed by JConcepts customer service, supported, and developed by professionals with style. Look for reputable dealers and distributors and demand authentic products – choose JConcepts
From the track: Recently, Juan Carlos Canas took the fastest single qualifier at the IFMAR World Championship, best semi-final time placing him TQ and on the Pole Position at this prestigious event utilizing the Double Bar tire.
Short Course Double Dees V2 Tires
October 23, 2024
Originals are often hard to beat, in the case of the Double Dees V2, every attempt at improving was considered. The carcass was revised for a more slim carcass, narrowing the area for treaded components but adding a slight radius to the tire for improved rolling transition. The sidewall provides a little cushion for bumps and terrain irregularities and the “hips” have moved a little lower for more stability and a rounder edge to the sidewall. Inner carcass webbing has been added to incorporate a more traditional overlapping X pattern concept to provide the all-around support needed at high-speed.
The JConcepts tires include the Dirt-Tech closed cell inserts popularized by its durable nature and unique gray color.
