Race Team Update – February 2025 Week #4

The JConcepts race team makes short work of the competition on the track in the shortest month of the year which you can read for yourself in this new edition of the Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report down in Fort Worth, TX where the RCCA (RC Car Club of America) is located at. Team driver Mike Stoll competed in their Winter Series finals over the weekend, and he would take home the title in the Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy class!

Moving over to Arkansas we now stop in at GS Hobby in the city of Barling. This past weekend they held their 2025 Stock Turf Nationals, and team driver Rhett McNair reported that he would grab the TQ and W in the Short Course Truck class!

Moving north to Missouri we now see how the team finished up at the recent Childress RC Racing event in the town of Bourbon. Starting with JC driver Jeremy Mark, he reported that he was the runner-up in bracket 2 of the Retro class with his Taurus monster truck! His Buffalo Tremor ride would take the win in Bracket 3! In the Sport Modified class his Buffalo Tremor was runner-up in bracket 1, his Sudden Impact monster truck would be the runner-up in bracket 3, plus he also took the win in bracket 2! In the Pro Modified class his Taurus was runner-up in bracket 3 as well!

Also competing at this event for team was JConcepts driver Chris Parrish. He competed in six racing brackets, and he picked up the win in 2 of them along with 9 semi-final appearances! He would also take wins in the ProMod Drag Racing bracket plus the Retro class too!

Continuing north on I-35 we now stop in at Island Speedway in Muscatine, IA. This weekend they hosted the final round for the Iowa Off-Road Winter Carpet Series so let’s see how the team finished up starting with team driver Jake Wiggs. For the finals he would finish 6th in Mod 2wd Buggy, 4th in 17.5 2wd Buggy, 2nd in 13.5 4wd Buggy, plus the TQ and 2nd overall in Stadium Truck! After the season points were tallied up he would finish the series with great results!

  • 1st in 13.5 Stadium Truck
  • 2nd in 17.5 2wd Buggy
  • 2nd in Mod 2wd Buggy
  • 4th in 13.5 4wd Buggy

Also cutting the carpet for the team at this event was team driver Jacob Sweisberger. After all the points were tallied up he would end the series with a 7th place finish in Mod 2wd Buggy, 5th place in 17.5 2wd Buggy and also 3rd place in 13.5 4wd Buggy!

Working our way up to Wisconsin let’s see how the team fared at a few different events taking place throughout the state. Our first stop is at Cheese City Xtreme R/C in Monroe who recently hosted their Off-Road Championship trophy race that saw 220 entries!

Team driver Jared Wiggins was doing work at this event as he took the TQ and win in 1/8 Electric Buggy and Truggy along with Pro4 Short Course Truck!

Also competing for the team was Brian Chmielowicz who finished 9th overall in the 1/8 Electric Buggy class!

Our next stop in the state is at Dirt Heaven Hobby & Raceway in New Franken.

Last Saturday was the 6th round of their Winter Series and team driver Steve Richter would finish 2nd overall in 17.5 2wd Buggy, plus he picked up the W in the 40+ 2wd Buggy class!

Also throwing down laps for the team at this most recent round was JC pilot Richie Peters, and he would take the TQ and wins in the Mod Stadium Truck and 17.5 2wd Buggy classes!

Leaping over Lake Michigan we now splash down at the Sandpit RC which is located in Jonesville, MI.

This past weekend was the 5th round of their nitro points series, and team driver Mike Legue would set the TQ in the 1/8 Electric Buggy class, then race on to take the win, plus pick up another win in the 1/8 Nitro Buggy class!

Dribbling down to the ‘Hoosier state’ we now stop in at the Hoosier RC Hobbyplex in New Albany. This past weekend was the finals to their point series, and team driver Lucas Smith would take home the win in the Mod 4wd Buggy class!

He was joined on the podium by fellow JC drivers Talon Henley (2nd) and Dustin Fox (3rd) to complete the JConcepts podium sweep!

Onward to Ohio we now visit the city of Columbus where En Hobbies & Raceway is located at. This past weekend they hosted the 2025 Stock Championships, and JC driver Brandon Marsh would take the TQ and win in both the 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes! His combined finish was also the best for the event so he was crowned the event’s Stock Champion too!

Our final report this week comes to us courtesy of team driver Antonio Caputo. This past weekend he went to RC Madness in Enfield, CT to compete in their February Freeze trophy race, and he would come home with some great results!

  • 17.5 2wd Buggy = TQ and 1st place
  • 13.5 4wd Buggy = TQ and 1st place
  • Mod 2wd Buggy = 1st place
