Race Team Update – March 2025 Week #1

As the month of February comes to an end the JConcepts race team keeps their winning momentum moving right into March with another winning weekend. Read about our continued success in this new edition of the Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report at 405 RC Raceway & Hobbies in Oklahoma City, OK. This past weekend they held their 2025 Bigfoot Off-Road Extravaganza so let’s see how the team finished up starting with team driver Mike Stoll.

He reported that he competed in three classes at this race and finished with a 3rd place finish in 13.5 4wd Buggy, a 2nd place finish in Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy, plus the TQ and another 2nd place finish in Mod 2wd Buggy!

Taking the win in the Mod 2wd Buggy class was his tire teammate Rhett McNair! Joining Mike and Rhett on the podium was fellow JC driver Ken Peterson (5th) along with his son Jace (4th)!

JConcepts driver Tyler Keel was also at this event and he locked up the final podium spot in the Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy class!

Shooting down to Texas we now stop in at Badlands RC Park in Odessa for our next report. Team driver Brian Rohde went there over the weekend to compete in their Race 2 Cure Cancer event.

He would wrap up the event with a 4th place finish in 1/8 Nitro Buggy and a 3rd place finish in 1/8 Nitro Truggy!

Also competing at this event for the team was JC pilot Scott Brewer, and he would finish 2nd overall in the 40+ 1/8 Nitro Buggy class!

Moving over to Mississippi we now get a few updates from the team competing at different events throughout the state. Our first report is from Saratoga-Flowood RC Raceway in the city of Magee, and that is where we find team driver William Ables. This past weekend he raced in their Throttle Therapy trophy event and he finished 3rd in 1/8 Electric Truggy, plus he secured the W in the Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy class!

Our next stop in the state is in the city of Winona where Central Mississippi RC Battle Ground is located. Last weekend they held their annual dirt oval trophy race and team driver Jordan Hefler was in attendance. He just missed the bump spot in the Late Model class to move to the A Main, but he had better luck in his other classes as he finished 5th in Outlaw Sprint, 3rd in Midget Sprint, 2nd overall in Midwest Mod along with a 1st place finish in Mod SC!

Turning our attention to Tennessee we now visit the Radio Operated Car Club of Knoxville (ROCCK) in the city of Knoxville. This past weekend they hosted their 12th Annual Tennessee State Championship that brought out 287 entries! Team driver Bella Rogers was at this event and she would finish 4th in 1/8 Nitro Buggy, 3rd in Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy, plus the TQ and win in Pro 1/8 Electric Truggy!

Also competing for the team was JConcepts driver Wade Piggott, and he would take the TQ and win in the 1/8 Nitro Truggy class!

Heading to the coast we now stop in at Virginia R/C Motorsports in Richmond, VA. This past weekend they held their season opener and team driver Tyler Pittman was ready to crush the competition!

  • Young Guns class = TQ and 2nd place
  • Losi Mini class = 3rd place
  • Pro Mod class = 4th place
  • Retro class = 5th place
  • 2.2 class = 6th place
  • Mega Truck class = 8th place

Those are some impressive results, and he also earns our coveted ‘ironman’ award this week for competing in the most classes at one event!

Moving north we now visit Key City Hobby in Frederick, MD for our next update. Team driver Jason Edwards recently wrapped up their Fall Crawling points series by sweeping all the classes!

Heading even further Northeast we now get this quick report from JConcepts driver Antonio Caputo. This past weekend he went to Maximus R/C Raceway in Seabrook, NH to compete in their Maine Carpet Champs trophy event. When the race was complete he would finish with a pair of 2nd place finishes in 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy along with a TQ in the 2wd class!

Heading back west we now stop in at Traveled to PTs RC Raceway in Bloomington, IL for this quick update from team driver David Fast. Over the weekend he competed in their points series finale, and he would just miss the bump into the A Main in the Mod Sprint class while running fast all weekend!

Heading up to Wisconsin we now stop in at The Toy Box R/C Track in the city of Richmond. Last Friday Night was another round of their points series, and team driver Tyler Aubart would take the TQ and win in the 13.5 4wd Buggy class!

Crossing the stateline we now visit RC Underground Inc. in Warren, MN for this quick report from team driver Marco Moreno. This past weekend he visited this facility to compete in the 6th Round of their Points Series, and he would finish the day with 4th place finishes in 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy, plus the TQ and W in the 13.5 Stadium Truck class!

Our final report this week comes to us courtesy of team drivers Mason Herrick and David Peavler. Last weekend they went to the HobbyTown USA HobbyPlex (The Plex) in Omaha, NE to race in their carpet off-road trophy race. Starting with Mason he would take the TQ and win in the Mod 2wd Buggy class, and joining him on the podium in 3rd place was fellow JC driver Daniel Bender!


His tire teammate David would set the TQ and finish 2nd in Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy along with the TQ in 40+ Mod 2wd Buggy, plus the wins the 40+ and 13.5 Stadium Truck classes!
