Race Team Update – March 2025 Week #4

The JConcepts race team drives the competition into madness as they continue to chalk up wins around the world. Read about our continued success in this new installment of the Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report down in sunny Florida. There were several RC events taking place throughout the state so we first visit B&T Raceway in the city of Crestview. Last weekend they held their 2025 Battle trophy event that saw 214 entries! Let’s see how the team performed starting with team driver Hunter King. He signed up for the 1/8 Electric and Nitro Buggy classes and would TQ and win in both of them! Also making the e buggy podium in 2nd place was fellow JC driver Justin Cranford!

Also competing for the team at this event was JC driver Peyton Jaynes. He would finish 6th in 1/8 Electric Buggy and 2nd overall in 1/8 Electric Truggy!

JConcepts driver Gloop Mahey made the finals for both of his classes at this race. In Mod 4wd Buggy he had some bad luck as his race ended early with a DNF, but in the 1/8 Electric Buggy class he was able to finish strong in 7th place!

Our next stop in Florida is at the Don Garlits drag race museum for the RCDRL Gator RC Nationals in city of Ocala. Team driver Brian Miller was throwing down fast runs at this event, and he would make it to the semi final round of the all run bracket!

Moving to the town of Bartow we now visit Triple Nickel RC Park which was host to Round 2 of the 1/8 Florida RC Championships. Team driver Patrick Rossiter Jr. was competing at this race and would take the win in the Pro 1/8 Nitro Truggy class!

Moving up the coastline we now make our way to Turn and Burn Hobby & Raceway in Winston-Salem, NC. Last weekend was their season opener and team driver Derrick Harris competed in the Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy and Truggy classes. At the end of the event he would finish 10th in buggy and 5th place in truggy!

Crossing the stateline we now stop in at Adrenaline RC Raceway in Winchester, VA. This past weekend was their Spring Fling trophy event and team driver Rusty Mihelich would take the wins in both the 40+ 1/8 Electric and Nitro Buggy classes after missing all of the qualifiers!

Continuing up the coast our next stop is at Key City Hobby in Frederick, MD. Team driver Jason Edwards recently competed in another round of their winter series where he finished 2nd overall in Class 1, 2 and 3!

Next, we head over to New Jersey to the city of Waldwick where Cruizin With RC’s is located at. This past weekend was their season opener, and team driver David Longaker kicked it off with style with the double TQ and win in the 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes!

Continuing into the northeast we now visit RC Madness in Enfield, CT. Last weekend was their March Madness trophy event, and team driver Antonio Caputo Jr. would set the TQ in both the 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes then race on to finish 2nd in wheeler plus pick up the win in the 17.5 class!

Making our way over to Michigan we touch down in the city of Jonesville where Sandpit RC is located at. This past weekend was also their March Madness trophy race, and team driver Kyle King let us know that he would finish 4th in 1/8 Electric Buggy and also lock up the final podium spot in the 1/8 Electric Truggy class!

Also competing for the team at this race was team driver Mike Legue. He would set the TQ in both the 1/8 Nitro and Electric Buggy classes, then race on to finish with a DNS in the nitro class, plus take the win in e buggy!

Staying in Michigan we now visit RC ONE Racing in the city of Macomb Township. Last weekend was their 2025 Midwest Carpet Off-road Series finals, and team driver Daigan Bledsoe would set the TQ in the 13.5 4wd Buggy class then race on to finish 5th, plus he grabbed 3rd place in 17.5 2wd Buggy!

Now we stop in at Fastlane Raceway in Blue Springs, MO to see how the team finished up at the final round of their Saturday Winter Series. Starting with team driver Jack Foster he reported that after the season points were added up he would finish 3rd overall in the 13.5 4wd Buggy class!

His tire teammate Orlando Martinez would finish 3rd in the series for the 17.5 2wd Buggy class, plus take the overall title for the 13.5 wheeler class!

Next, we fly out west and touch down at Hot Rod Hobbies in Santa Clarita, CA. Last weekend was their 3rd Annual Dirt Oval Shootout, and team driver James Rodriguez reported that he would finish 4th in the Mod Late Model class along with a 3rd place finish in the Outlaw Sprint class!

Now let’s get a few updates from our International team who recently competed in Round 1 of the Asian Buggy Championships held at Counties RC Car Club in Pukekohe, New Zealand. Starting with team driver Logan Toia he reported that he finish 10th in 1/8 Nitro Buggy, 2nd place in 1/8 Nitro Truggy and the set TQ and grabbed another 2nd place in the 1/8 Electric Buggy class! Joining him on the e buggy podium in 3rd place was fellow JC driver Kasey Dawson!

Our final report this week comes to us courtesy of team driver Ben Panic. He signed up for the 1/8 Nitro and 40+ Nitro Buggy classes, and when the round was complete he would just miss the transfer spot to the A Main in nitro buggy class, but in 45+ nitro buggy he would lock up 2nd place!
