Race Team Update – March 2025 Week #5

The JConcepts race team keeps their March momentum rolling in the final weekend of the month. Read about our continued success in this new edition of the Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report out at G3RC Raceway in Bessemer City, NC. This past weekend was their season opener and team driver Derrick Harris competed in the Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy and Truggy classes, and when the racing was done he would just miss the bump to the A in the e buggy class while in e truggy he finished in 5th place!

Moving north we now visit Adrenaline RC Raceway in Winchester, VA.

This past weekend was Round 3 of their Spring series, and team driver Darren Windsor would set the TQ in the Mod 2wd Buggy class then drive on the take the win, plus pick up another W in the Mod 4wd Buggy class too!

Next, we head to Pennsylvania to get a few updates from the team competing at different events.

Starting with JC driver Tyler Pittman he was in the city of Boyertown last weekend to compete at Pheasantland RC Park & Hobby Shop for their Underdog dirt oval trophy event where he finished 4th in the under 15 class!

Staying in the state we next visit Waynesboro where 997 RC Raceway is located at. This past weekend they held a cash race, and team driver Mark Decker was bringing home the bacon as he took the TQ and win in the 17.5 2wd Buggy and Stadium Truck classes!

Heading up further to the northeast we now stop in at DPRC (Dynamic Performance R/C) in Littleton, NH. They recently held their March Mayhem trophy race, and JConcepts driver Antonio Caputo would double down with two TQs and wins in the 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes!

Heading back west we touch down at Crash’n Bash Hobbies in Cedar Rapids, IA to see how the team finished up at their recent King of Carpet trophy event. Starting with team driver Mike Salkowski he let us know that he finished 6th in Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy along with a 4th place finish in 40+ Mod 2wd Buggy!

Also throwing down fast laps for the team was JC pilot David Peavler. He would also compete in two classes and finish 3rd overall in 13.5 Stadium Truck, plus set the TQ and finish 2nd in the 40+ class!

Moving down I-35 we now make our way to Fastlane Raceway in Blue Springs, MO. This past weekend was their 2025 March Mayhem trophy event that brought out 138 entries! Let’s see how the team finished up starting with team driver Jake Wiggs.

He registered for three classes and when the dust had settled he would take the TQ and win in the Expert 13.5 4wd Buggy and Stadium Truck classes along with Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy!

His tire teammate Nick Gibson competed in the Mod 2wd and 4wd Buggy classes, and he would also double up with two TQs and wins!

In the 40+ Mod 2wd Buggy class team driver Orlando Martinez would take the win after the single A Main, and he was joined on the podium by his JC teammates Mack Vanderbeek (TQ and 3rd) and Brent Riley (4th)!

Kicking it over to Kansas we now visit Emery RC Raceway in the city of Wichita. This track was host to Round 1 of the Kansas State Championship Series, and team driver Colton Jones is off to great start as he finished 2nd overall in the Sportsman 1/8 Electric Buggy class!

Fellow JConcepts driver Jerm Jones competed in the open 1/8 Nitro Truggy class where he grabbed the win!

Moving south we now stop in at Taylor Park RC Raceway in Yukon, OK.

Last weekend they held their 11th Annual Spring Nationals, and team driver Tyler Keel would come away with 1st place in the Open Sprint class!

Angling our way over to Arizona we get this quick report from team driver James Rodriguez. This past weekend he was racing once again at Hobby Action Raceway in the city of Chandler. Friday night was Round 1 of their Spring Fling dirt oval series, and he signed up for the Outlaw Sprint and Late Model classes. In the sprint class he would miss the bump into the A Main after encountering some gremlins during qualifying, but in the Late Model class he would finish 7th overall in the finals! To top off the evening he even got to meet and compete with NASCAR driver Kurt Busch too!

Our final report this week comes to us courtesy of team driver Evan Roeth. This past weekend was the final points race for the DieHard RC series which saw 192 entries! This final round once again took place at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds in Monroe, WA, and when when the round was over he would finish with a DNF in the finals for the 13.5 4wd Buggy class, a 4th place in the 17.5 2wd Buggy class, and he would also grab the TQ and win in the 13.5 Stadium Truck class!

  1. Have you been getting my race reports past 3 to 4 weeks. I posted a few race wins for onroad an offroad carpet. An some mini z racing
