The heavy hitting JConcepts 1/10th scale dirt off-road team headed out to Indiana to the absolutely epic Hoosier RC Hobbyplex for the 2025 ROAR 1/10th Scale Dirt Off-Road Nationals.
The action kicked off on Wednesday with open practice before moving into controlled practice Thursday. Friday and Saturday would host 4 rounds of qualifying before the main events took place with champions crowned across 9 classes.
The JConcepts team utilized the industry standard Smoothie 2.0 tires in both the modified and spec classes. JConcepts was proud to be chosen as the spec tire for the stock buggy classes. Racers had the option in modified of using either Dirt Tech or the harder RM2 inserts allowing for further fine tuning.
The Pioneer Wheel made one last pre-introduction before being officially released this week, and the JConcepts team continues to drop Easter Eggs of new products at the largest events of the year!
The Team started off strong in Seeding and took off from there never letting off the gas through the end of the event!

Moving into the main events it was time to crown some new champions and see the hard work come to fruition of some rising stars.
2wd Modified: A DNF in A1 would put your TQ Brennan Schimmel on the back foot. Davey Batta would take advantage to win A1 ahead of Dakotah Phend putting both of them in a good spot for the overall. Schimmel would recover in A2 to grab a win from 1st on the grid. A2 would be Davey’s throwout with a 9th, and a 2nd for Broc Champlin in the 2nd leg would bring him into the picture. All was to play for in A3 but Brennan would push through the pressure to take the win and his first modified national championship. With a 2nd and a win Davey Batta would end up 2nd with Dakotah Phend in 3rd.

4wd Modified: Brennan would take the win from the TQ spot in A1 of 4wd Modified ahead of Phend and Champlin. A2 would see Dakotah take a win setting up for another A3 showdown. It wouldn’t happen for either of them, Dakotah would blink first crashing back to 4th and then a minute later Brennan would do the same. Spencer Rivkin would win A3 and the overall would go to Dakotah Phend with 1st and 2nd place finishes.
