It was another busy week of racing for the JConcepts race team as they continued to dominate on tracks around the world! Read it for yourself in this new edition of the Race Team Update!
We start this week’s report out in sunny California. There were a few different RC events taking place in the state this past weekend so our first update is from team driver Gary Slater. He recently went to Coyote Hobbies Raceway in Victorville to compete in Round 6 of their Spring Bling series. He would finish the round with a 4th place finish in Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy plus the win in the 13.5 Stadium Truck class!

Our next stop in the state is at SDRC in San Diego. Last Saturday was Round 5 of their Supercross Series, and JC driver Chris Raceles would double down in this round with two TQs and wins in the 40+ 2wd and 4wd Buggy classes!

Shooting over to Texas we get our next update from team driver Gabe Boudreau. Last weekend he went to San Antonio where Oatesified Off-Road RC Raceway is located to race in Round 5 of their Winter Series, and he would leave after picking up the win in the Expert 1/8 Electric Buggy class!

Moving north we now stop in at Shaw’s RC Track in Ardmore, OK. This track recently hosted Round 4 of the Shootout Series that saw 189 entries!
Team driver Brian Rohde was in attendance, and he would set the TQ then race on to finish 2nd overall in the Expert 1/8 Nitro Buggy class!
Also competing for the team at this event was team driver Colton Jones. He would also snag a TQ in the Sportsman 1/8 Electric Truggy class, and after the dust had settled he would lock up the 2nd podium spot!

Heading east we now visit Jonesboro, AR where FORC Raceway is located at. This past weekend the track hosted the 2nd Annual Arkansas State Championship, and it was a podium sweep for the JConcepts team as Peyton Jaynes finished 2nd, Braden Bruce would take the W and his father and fellow team driver Calvin Bruce would lock up the final podium spot in the 1/8 Electric Buggy class! Braden would also TQ this class, plus he picked up two more TQs and wins in the 1/8 Nitro Buggy and Truggy classes as well!

Crossing the stateline to the north we now move into Missouri and make a quick pit stop at Childress RC Racing in the city of Bourbon. There we find team driver Mike Bufka who was crushing the competition as he picked up the win in the Pro Mod bracket #2 at a recent RC monster truck event!

Cruising up I-35 we now make our way to Leighton, IA where Leighton Speedway is located. This past weekend they held their annual King Of The Corn dirt oval event, and team driver David Fast would suffer a DNF in the the Late Model class, but he would bounce back as he locked up the final podium spot in the Open Sprint class!

Continuing north on I-35 we now visit FTR (Full Throttle RC) Raceway in Foley, MN. Last weekend was their season opener so let’s see how the team finished up starting with JConcepts driver Joe Zaier Jr. He let us know that he took the TQ and win in the 1/5 Truck class!
Team driver Joe Scaramell reported that he finished 7th overall in the 35+ Nitro Truggy class!
JC pilot Ben Humphrey competed in the 1/8 Electric Buggy class where he finished 3rd overall! Taking the win in this class was his tire teammate Kyle Holmberg!
JConcepts team driver Tyler Aubart would finish 6th overall in the e buggy class, while in the 1/8 Nitro Buggy class he would set the TQ then finish in 2nd place! Taking the win in this class was his tire teammate Seth VanDalen!

Bouncing over to the “Hoosier” state we now visit VCRC Raceway in the city of Terre Haute. This past Saturday was the first round of the HORCRS (Hoosier Off-Road RC Racing Series), and team driver Charles Hicks would TQ both the 1/8 Nitro and 40+ Electric Buggy classes!
Then he raced on to finish 3rd in nitro buggy, plus he snagged the win in the e buggy class!

Working our way to West Virginia we get a few quick updates from the team competing at different RC events. Starting with team driver Bella Rogers she reported that she recently went to Tri Cities RC Racing in Lavalette to compete in the Brawl For Bella trophy event. This event is usually called the Brawl For It All, but recently they renamed it since this doubled as fundraiser to help her with expenses to the ROAR 1:8 Fuel Off-Road Nationals that will be held later this year. She would compete in the Pro 1/8 Electric and Nitro Buggy classes, take the double TQ and win, plus the racers raised nearly $1,000 too!

Staying in the state we get our next report from JC driver Wade Piggott. He was recently competing at ACCEL RC in the city of Gay for their 2025 Summer Shootout. He registered for the Pro 1/8 Electric and Nitro Buggy classes, and he would set the TQ in the nitro class plus take home the double wins!

Heading to the coastline we now stop in at Zoo City Raceway Park in Asheboro, NC. Last weekend they held their Spring Shootout, and team driver Derrick Harris would finish 6th overall in Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy, plus a 2nd place finish in 1/8 Electric Truggy!

Our final report this week comes to us courtesy of international team driver Jake Dell. Recently the opening two rounds of the Nitroxcross Series started up in the UK, and in the 1st round Jake would finish 4th in 1/8 Nitro Buggy and 3rd place in 1/8 Electric Buggy! The next day was Round 2 and he competed in the same classes, but this time he would finish 2nd in e buggy plus grabbed the W in the nitro class!
